I also tried out the 10 day trial, I am in day 2 of it and the other 8 days will go to waste, i was very unimpressed with this "mmorpg" it is a pvp game only, with absolutely nothing else. I was bored to death inside 2 hours of playing. Like Darkened said the few matyches i played i just got ganged up on by more experienced players. there are absolutely no rpg elements to this game, unless you count the quick slot bar lol. I think the dev team on this one made some big mistakes, if you want to market this game to mmorpg fans there needs to atleast be something that feels like an rpg. The ONLY good thing i can say about this game is that the graphics are pretty nice when maxed out. Other than that <modedit>I find this game to be one of sub-par quality</modedit> i would recommend against spending your money. but you dont have to take my word for it, try out the trial if you dont believe me.

Fair points! That's why we've been describing Fury as a PvPMMO and not used MMORPG at all. We've also spent a lot of our time talking about how Fury is intended to be a mix of MMO-style combat with FPS-style pacing.

If you came into Fury expecting an MMORPG along the lines of a WoW or EQ then I can understand your disappointment. As I said, though, we've never tried to pretend that Fury is that type of game.

    Agreed.

    To OP:

Indeed, I did mention that aspect of play hampering new individuals, however I also made it perfectly clear that the game has alot of potential to be very good - and I ended up purchasing it, and have been following it in eager anticipation of the upcoming free expansion, despite my original assumption that I wouldn't be purchasing it.

I also didn't go into it expecting an mmorpg, I expected a die hard standalone PvP game when I downloaded my trial, and that was exactly what it was - Fury certainly doesn't fail to deliver when it comes to the pvp, it just needs a tune up so that players can all have a fair shake.

i can relate to the OP as i feel the same about Fury.

what struck me most was the controls. i've treid it for several hours but couldn't get used to them really. you really have to use the mouse to move and use your other hand to press the hotkeys. i'm not used to that hehe. i liked to way it looks and feels though. it felt fps-like running around in the warzones. but for online action i'll stick with normal fps. thanks for letting us try it out and sorry it didn't work out for me.

That has nothing to do with the game itself, and everything to do with you and your own lack of PC gaming experience.

That  is the standardized control scheme for nearly every PC game on the market.

I cant even believe that this is your gripe, its not even worth complaining about, all you've done is make yourself out to look ignorant, for no real reason.

wow relax, have you even tried reading my post ?

what i ment was to combination isn't working for ME. (note the fact i'm pointing to myself here)

while i could walk around using the standard keys like awsd, it didn't work for ME in combination with the hotkeys (not the walking keys, the action hotkeys.)

what strikes me most here is that i've tried not to bash the game, as i thought it looked good and it had a nice ambience about it, but that the way its played that wasn't MY style. if that for you is a reason to start bashing me, fine.. your lack of proper attitude is enough reason for me to let this be my second and final post on these forums.. thanks for ruining it, bye

if im correct, there is the option to change your key bindings in the game, like i did in beta test.

what i did, was just make the main bar all attack moves, the upper bar was buffs, so i clicked with mouse..

i kept 1-6... changed some to letters i wouldnt used, or to make easier on me.. and some alt, or ctrls i had..

then rest i clicked for skill..

made it easy.. so you cant complain about hotkeys anyway since you can change em.

Ok fair enough. But why not make a point in fighting? Defending areas from others, or something. I mean if you really think about it, the only point in your games pvp is to kill, climb a ladder, or grind gear to sell or trade.

Just my two cents. :) Gl to you guys anyway!

i've played in Closed and Open beta Fury, and especialy in open beta u could feel the pressure of the developers pushing the game to go fully open to the mob,

HOWEVER: high detail wasn't possible yet the last day of Open Beta, they origionaly had 3 servers which they combined the last week for crash testing, whell it didnt crash, but the lagg was way to bad to even attempt to get some rankings up.

when Open Beta ended they had a massive post on forums on things they still wanted to change to the game, all logical things but never got in beta, ranking up in the game is useless as long as u have the gold u can buy your skills, i won some gold in the fury challange, did the 10 day trail ditched 400G in my skills and maxed out all the good Invoker skills, so having an edge isnt that hard.

but i wouldn't say the game sucks but i doubt that it will be an everlasting game or anything near a kind of WoW.

when i heard of the game i was enthousiastic, while playing got annoyed by waiting lines and the low ammount of skillpoints you had. maxed out skills in OB u could equip in Elimination was 3-4 skills wow! thats amazing! aint it.

concept is great 2 bad they didn't listen to the 100+ topics about open pvp grounds that people were expecting when they started playing
