Torn ...

Ok, so here's the deal. My wife adores L2. Personally I play WoW, but she has always been an L2 fan. The thing is, she has to actually have a job and so she cannot grind for 4 or 5 hours (or more!) a night. She has been literally drooling over the new Kamel stuffies, though, and is really being tempted to go back in ... but doesn't want to if all that will happen is getting frustrated with the grind once more. If there was some story or quests like WoW it may be easier for her, but the act of farming can become mind-numbingly boring.

 

So she is just torn on if she should come back or not. I guess the question I have is ... is there anyway to level without just braindead farming so that it doesn't take her a year to get to higher levels?

    Well like I said, she wants to start a kamel ... and she has no left over adena ... so I guess that means she's SOL. :(

    Though they have changed some of the Kamael quests to be more palatable (the class transfer quests are easier than other classes) it is L2 and not WoW.

    L2 has never been about fun quests. Oh sure, there are quests, but I doubt they will be highly enjoyable and offer an alternative way to level up.

    Still, go to the main forums and check out the Kamael forum and the PTS (public test server) forums for more info. That is where you will get first hand knowledge.

    Thank you for pointing me in that direction. I did check their forums and found a lot of good info. Arg! Why can't they just make a 5x server like they have in Asia? x_x

    You can join a populated server (Bartz for NA, Teon for Euro - or Franz though I hear sketchy things about Franz... still...) then join a good clan/alliance that helps it's academy members. Actually playing the game is fun when you are with good people.

    L2 "is" about brain-dead farming....what can your wife like about the game if she doesn't like doing that?

    Its like being a member of the US Marines, the players pride themselves on their ability to overcome the pain and reach the top....

    Sounds like your wife would be better off playing WOW.

    she shoulden't start up cause off the look's i played a Sorcerer in l2 cause off the flasy nice look's but i never really had fun with her so i ended up qutting her at some 6x lvl, and that's not the first time i played something flasy looking, that i hated...



    they aren't really quest's either its really just grinding on the same mob's over and over, but what i read about the new kamel classes they should be a lot more fun to play, so she could give the trial a go when the kamel comes out tommorow.
