Alright so I played this game back when it released and liked it for the most part. Anyway the big questions I have now are what is the endgame like once you reach max level? Is there much to do still? Do people actually do monster play? (Back then it was pretty dead) Thnx.

I am currently lvl 41, not exqactly the very end, but close enuff, monster play im not sure, i was waiting to become a freep which i can now just do at lvl 40 i think, but so far i have no shortage of quests at lvl 41, misty mountains, and the trollshaws, and such keep me pretty busy, i as well have barely touched the books yet too, so those are still there, also there has been raid content added a few patches ago to add to the existing content, there is houses now as well,
playing eq2 and two worlds
Mosterplay never realy been death on my server, you can now play as a troll or ranger or even chiken, you can also meet gollum an ent a balrog and get a house in the shire! + much much more!
Playing: World of Warcraft.
Played: Lord of the Rings Online, Starwars Galaxies.
Tried: Starwars the Old Republic, Everquest 2, Guild Wars, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Aion.
So, you played the game all the way through the Balrog and found it all very boring. Why ever did you ever persist in playing that long if you hated it so much? I mean, I found it boring as well, but I quit around level 30 after a month or so of playing.

I think endgame and particularly PvP are somewhat lacking in LOTRO. However, LOTRO is still a young game and has a LOT of room to expand. I have a feeling end game will be flushed out a lot in the coming year

I currently play EQ2 and LoTRO, I really like LoTRO and as the poster above me has said, its new. Turbine has done excellently with this title in releasing new content. The game now has raid dungeons, and new outposts (They opened up more of the maps). The next update introduces a new character customization system, which includes tons of new options and the ability to change your appearance when you get bored with it. hope you have fun!
Have played LoTRO since release, but now find myself looking for a new adventure as I have become bored. After the starting zone for each race, all quests lead to the same area, Bree, so even if you make an alt, you end up doing all the same quests you did with your other toons (50LM, 45 burg, 33Capt + other deleted alts). Once you reach max level there is little to do as rep rewards are not very good and little raid content. Also, PvMP is a novel idea, but it is very much grind like no matter the side you are on. If you are a creep, you are very underpowered and can be owned by any half decent level 45+ freep. The big part about PvMP is it is never ending, there is no point where you win anything, you grind till you get tired of it and move on and the rewards for it are not very good either.
Immersion, is good as the story flows thru the entire game, but and I know it is still relativelly new, it loses it's luster once you hit 50...sad cuz I liked it till I hit 50. Anyway, just my opinion fwiw
