i realize that i am pretty much a total n00b for having a Mac and trying to play an mmorpg on it but there is a somewhat half-ass explanation to it.
this year i am residing in the land of the rising sun (Japan ) for school and ive started getting bored. i only brought my MAC cause it is smaller therefore being more portable. sadly though, because of that most mmorpgs that i have played are out of reach.
so the end result is, i was wondering if anyone out there knew of any Mac compatible mmorpgs. preferably free cause it hella expensive here to begin with. japanese language is also ok if anyone knows any of those.
Games played: Diablo (from the beginning), Asheron's Call, AC2, Lineage, WoW, RF Online, EVE
Games playing: none, for the above reason.

Though Eve isnt free, it plays well on macs
And WoW, of course.
Or if you have an Intel Mac.. upgrade to 10.5 and use Boot Camp.
That's what I'm doing at the moment :-)
MMOs played (In order of how much I've liked them): Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Vanguard, City of Villains / Heroes, Guild Wars, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, Tabula Rasa, Anarchy Online, Ryzom, Final Fantasy XI, Matrix Online, RF Online, Rappelz, Hero Online, Roma Victor
Have a look at Planeshift. It is supported on Win/Mac/Lin. It is a 3D (first or third PoV), roleplaying based game in developement, so don't expect a lot of polish yet.
I changed my mind. PlaneShift is not worth the time.
well if you read the site, planeshift is ALWAYS in development... ut i dont understand it... couldnt find as ingle monster from wandering outside for literally 5 hrs.
But heres a plan lets me and you switch places?
can play original Everquest on Mac (altho it has no expansions beyond Planes of Power)
