    normally i'd go with na intel quad core however when it ocmes to dual core, AMD wins price hands down so i'll say go with this

    just those parts. Im good everywhere elsewhere. ive been upgrading the lesser parts for amonth now. So this next check will be all going to the Big stuff.

    i would like to build a new pc in the coming months with about 1000 dollars. i don't really know what parts to get because i don't keep up with these things.

    Don't get the 8600GTS, the ATI 3850 is roughly the same price (160 at bestbuy) and performs much better.
