Im just wonderin how many ppl think this game could finally kick WoW off the top nd become the best mmo out there. personally i cant wait till this game come out, it looks so awesome nd seems like it might be a good change from WoW. I just hope it doesnt become a WoW clone

It isn't the game style of game as WoW was. WoW was first and foremost a PVE Raid game, while WAR models itself after Dark Age of Camelot which is an RvR/PvP game. You can get to level cap through PvP alone without PVE, and you can get great gear through RvR without having to think if you do not PVE raid, that they have a huge gear advantage over you. It will be up to you to decide what game is best in your own mind. For me, it will be the best game I have played because I am enjoying the beta itself, more than I enjoyed WoW. Will it knock them off the subscription throne? I say no way. Not because it is a lesser game, but because that is a huge number to expect to hit, and history shows that no matter what game comes out, it hasn't been near the highest WoW numbers.
Looking to de-throne WoW as the biggest game is always a mistake. That is a fluke and aiming for that is a pipe dream at the best.
WAR will stand on its own terms. It will live if people enjoy it and die if they screw it up. The only game that has a chance of dethroning WoW is one that you plug directly into you brain so its feels like you really are there and that is a long way off.
WoW will die from age long before another game kills it.
You know, technically what you just said is a violation of the NDA if you were really in the beta.
That being said, from everything they have said there are some major changes made in a variety of areas, both PvP and PvE. We'll see.

Edit: Just to elaborate, I just think it shouldn't matter if it is #1 or #2 or so on. I would like it to be #1 of course but if it's not but still holds an acceptable server population then I will be satisfied.

(I laughed a whole bunch at the PvP myself) PvE was pretty good. That is all.
If Warhammer offers me a world in which I feel I am a part of that doesn't seem clunky or poorly integrated and a strong community of players, I'll be happy. FFXI, though zoned was a game where the grandeur and environmental detail encompassed the player -- same with WoW. Art direction plays a huge part of my personal interest and dedication to a game.
I find gameplay is rarely an issue that turns me off of a game, it's how I feel I can integrate, through my character, into the world.
If Warhammer does this, it will be number one for me.

(Blizzard rep) i wouldn't be talking about your pvp man, you guys screwed up your pvp alot.. when your exp comes out you wont conquer the terms of doac siege and the pvp will be screwed more... but your pve is believable but not the pvp sorry to say..

World of Warcraft has some of the most Revolutionary PvP in the history of MMORPG. I wouldnt be suprise if warhammer were to copy are ideals.
So many flaws in this statement I'm not even going to waste my time.
WoW definitely does not have the most revolutionary PVP system of any game, but it was fun.
From the addition of Battlegrounds in the start, to the Arena teams they did make changes that were, in my opinion, perfect for the casual gamer -- which is WoW's appeal. The PVP style of WoW was centered and refocused, after the failure of the ranking system from Private/Scout - Grand Marshall, perfectly for the community I believe.
Ballista (PVP in FFXI) was in my opinion some of the most unique and fun PVP I've had. I really liked the "nationalism" that composed PVP in FFXI.
That's just my opinion.

wow will fail by expansion because its just grind for the gear.. The siege warfare is going fail. Then nice copyin the nutrual zones like off warhammer online to.. :P

In many people eye's it will be #1, in other's it won't. It's all a matter of opinion. WoW is the so called 'number 1' MMO out there right now. Does that mean I think it is? No... So we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out I guess

No. The only thing that will kill WoW is WoW/Blizzard itself, I don't think that any game will pull even 2 million subs from WoW. No, I don't like WoW, I just can't see a game regardless of what it is(it won't be WAR)pulling 9 million subs away, not unless it is literally named WoW2 or something.

I wouldnt say that. As of right now, World of Warcraft has the best pvp on the market. PvP is only going to get better when WoTLK comes out.

You know how many people beleive that resilience killed WoW pvp?
Wotlk is just another marketing ploy to get people to keep playing temporarily and to bring back players who quit again for the 2nd time after they lvld there charachters to 70.
And as far as PVE, how is raiding fun?

So you get gear from raiding....so that you can get more gear in higher instances ...FOR MORE raiding, and the cycle continues on and on. You cant even pwn people with your leet raiding gear anymore. Not that you gear bloobs knew how to pvp anyway.

The problem with asking a question like that is that you asume that WOW is the best MMO out there , and that is at least doubtsome! I don't think so. But i do think that WOW is absolute best at what it does. And as WOW is the most popular mmo game , it sets a standard for other games to measure against !
Lets instead ask: Could WAR be more Popular than WOW?
Its unlikly but posible. Its possible because that the innovations that WAR brings (RvR , public quests and tome of knowledge) could be what the MMo's scene needs and is ready for. Simply put the next step where faktions really fight each other.
Its possible that the WOW experience is just used up, been there done that for a lot of players
The Warhammer IP is strong and very detailed and provide a strong base for a immersive game, and have a huge fanbase! Its possible because right now WAR is the most anticipated MMo game in development, and newer have there been released that much information about a game in making, so its advertised very well. And though delayed, its done to actual give it ekstra content, and they have the money support to do it! And it's possible because WAR do not make a game to different from the standards that have derrived from WOW's succes.
Its unlikly because WOW did come as the major break through for the MMO's scene, and for most people it was there first MMo. It's another market today. People exspect more and more and with good reason and they want different things today! WoW provides a very good and addictive play experience that alot of players don't want to leave and blizzard is going to fuel them with content to keep them! As well as adding new stuff, expect blizzard to improve PvP to meet the marktet challange! Also don't underestimate the gear grinding, if WAR doesn't do it as addictive it would not attrack alot of WOW players!
But it ofcause comes down to what would all the kids do , not only the WOW kids , but all the kids , will they be dragged in to a must try experience , they have to stay with , or do they just don't go there at all! That we just don't know yet
But without them I expect WAR to be a strong number 2 in the MMO gaming field next year! Simply because alot of hardcore MMo players, together with the huge WARHAMMER fanbase would try it out and find it fun!
And that might actual be the best situation!

He's not saying resilience killed WoW in terms of the definition of resilience. Resilience is a stat that was added.. to give players more stats to try and get so they think they are cool. It is redundant. Now it makes some people harder than ever to kill.
