MMORPGs and the Wii?

Don't get me wrong, I love my computer. I've been playing MMORPGs on a computer since Meridian 59 and I'm looking forward to WAR, but I bought a Wii system and it is just amazing. The motion controls even make something as basic as a game of tennis FUN. It has so much potencial to make an incredibly cool MMORPG, with motion controls (for each hand), memory chips so memory isn't an issue, and internet access. Is anybody out there making a MMORPG for the Wii? If not, get to it would ya?!  A WAR version for the Wii and I would be in heaven.

I just dont ever see an mmo coming on the the Wii. There is just not enough space on the little machine. Now if a company did like SE did with FFXI on the ps2, release an mmo on the Wii and include a 4-6gb SD card maybe.

I have a Wii, and yes it would be fun. The machine might not be able to handle it at the moment, but maybe future generations of Wii.

Not only that, but the motion sensor control is new. You can plug in xbox 360 controllers to a PC, probably down the road you will be able to plug in Wii motion sensor controllers to a PC as well.

Have you ever tried the real thing?  It's much better than the Wii.

And they claim it promotes exercise...

"WTF No Wii, my batteries died"

I'd rather they work out downloadable content for Guitar Hero III first.

And if that's proving to be a problem for them, then the chances of an MMO coming to the Wii are .... nil.

Sorry but lack of a hard drive and horsepower in general would really be a big hurdle to implement  an MMO on the Wii.

Couldnt you just imagine? Playing an MMO on the Wii and having to exchange friend codes for everyone you meet everyday just to add to friands list?   =P

This is a video of a guy who figured out how to play WOW through his Wii there are other similar videos of people conecting the wii sensor bar to there computers.  So the idea is not to far fetched but i do agree the wii needs more memory and the problem with DL stuff with Guitar Hero but i can hope and pray for it

I've had fun playing the wii, but I can't imagine swinging that control around all day when I have to use a weapon to fight.  Your arm would fall off at some point considering how much time you put into MMOs.  The control is also to simple IMO.  There aren't enough buttons to make it interesting.  Even the more complex controllers for the other systems have a difficult time duplicating the complex keyboard options of the PC.  Usually they have to use button combinations.
