I highly, highly doubt it. The game looks to good to be free to play. It would be almost insulting if it were.
Pretty much what I was thinking.. It would be wierd if they didnt charge something to play it. The question then might be how much would they charge? I heard something around 15$/month.
I never know NCsoft would release games that do not earn money. If its free expect hell loads of expansions in a year like guild wars. If not it would be p2p. But if its gonna be US$15 per month , I'd rather wait for warhammer before deciding on which game to play
No, you will pay a monthly fee. Along the lines of lineage 2 in that "yes" it is a Korean game but "no" it is more of a Class A title which usually points to subscriptioin.
Thank God.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
There was a rumor somewhere that they were thinking about that, but nothing has been said for a long while.... Which sucks 'cause I would totally get that!
Does NC Soft have a deal similar to the SoE Station Access Pass for their games? Thanks in advance.
I actually think they are moving toward that. I have a NC soft launcher on my desktop that allows one to pick a particular NC Soft game that you have installed.
I think it's only a matter of time.

Stop trolling this thread. For the others, according to NCsoft, at $14.99/month flat fee but this may be subject to change. So there, wait for the final announcement.
Holy, lurk more ^_^ Suu is no where near being a troll.
Past experience with games has told me repeatedly that free MMOs generally suck. Even large companies like NCSoft and SoE has "free" mmos and those usually bite.
As for a multi-game pass from NCSoft? Yeah I'd hit that up in an instant.

GW had one expansion in its entire history and that is Eye Of The North. The other two are considered seperate games seeing how they do not need the orighinal to play. If you want to say the other two are expansions then fine. Even with GW having 3 expansions in its entire existence I dont think thats too bad. Anyways 100% Aion will be p2p and that is a very good thing.
I agree with Patrick on this one. Aion should not and will not be F2P. It would mean that NCsoft wouldn't care about the game . just think about it if its F2P all the little losers, hackers and many other "good"gamers will pop up.Im not saying that the only true gamer is the one who can afford to pay a monthly fee but most F2P players out there have a sucky attitude and they just kill the fun out of a game.;) My idea is this they should make it like guild wars on this matter;buy the game but no monthly fee. What do you guys think pls feed back on this thought.

i hope its not free otherwise it means it works by an item shop. and this would mean that the game is a grind game.
