Guild Wars, Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heroes / Villains

Those are probably your best bet. Of course, you could just look at the stickied thread like I did and get that info in two seconds

SWG - Star Wars Galaxies - it's an open sandbox game with lots of crafting.  You can mission alone (most of the time), or group.  Deep economy and good stable community.

I know people who just play not trying to level or grind.  they do alittle space piloting, a few missions, hunt for resources, or for animal skins/bones... build camps... theyjust play in the sandbox and make their own fun.

    hellgate:London

Many don't like it buy you don't have to pay a monthly fee and can still play online.

You do have to buy the game though.

    Hellgate doesn't deserve more attention.

its a major release from a Major development team that has produced something that few if any are finding all that interesting.

Sorry try again (ohh and there is a subscription to that game in fact its one of the things people are looking at going.. " umm whats this?")

Well I guess it depends on your definition of fun. Eve online has fantastic graphics ( just upgraded this month) and vicious pvp but some tend to find it slow and boring. But that can be remedied by joining a pirate corp or one that has access to 0.0 space. All depends on how you want to play.

The subscription is optional, and the man said he wanted a game that wasn't grind centered. Well this is one. It's mindless hack and slash with a good community. Although the game was released pre-maturely, a patch just came out that added enough content to come on par with the promised content.

If the OP does want to try it, send me a pm. I'll help you get started.
