Well im like 2 inches away from going and buying the game... the only thing is that I read too much on the forums.

Are the clan wars REALLY very boring and silly?

Are there REALLY never enough people to duel?

Is there really not enough content to keep you interested in the game?

 

I just need some answers, and also have they said anything on adding an evil race maybe?

 

Also, if some1 has an extra buddy key, and want to give it out you'd get a month free as I bet id like the game, and buy the game and upgrade my already current account.

This forum is filled with a lot of TR haters, some of which haven't played since beta, but are so set on seeing TR go down in flames that they camp here to pounce on anyone that says a good thing about it.  You'll get good feed back from sites like PlanetTR and Stratics TR site as well as others listed on the Tabula Rasa website under fan sites.

 

As someone that has played since beta and is playing now, I can say that pvp has some issues and a lot of people aren't bothering with it right now as they are more focused on lvling than ganking newbs in the medical bays. 

I don't know what to tell you about duels...I have never found it appealing to duel outside of just messing around with clan members.

Content, well there is plenty of content up to the mid 30s where I am at now and its been good content.  It's known that there isn't as much as you go higher, but they are adding more with each patch..they added a new lvl50 area in the last patch for example.  If you power lvl, you'll blaze through it to the cap before they get there, but if you play a few hours a night most nights of the week and hit 30 at about 3-4 weeks for example, youll keep pace with the devs and not get ahead of them.

Here's my opinion, no fluff.

Before deciding whether to get the game or not, I read this forum (and others) and like every other game, there are people that like it and people that don't. For every positive comment, there is a negative one and vice versa. The only sources you can really get an unbiased opinion from (unless its Gamespot, heh) are game sites, and most have had favorable reviews.

You really have to just roll the dice and try it out for yourself. That's what I did and I'm glad that I did. I've found the missions and background story to be fun and entertaining. To me, someone who has played several MMOs since 1999, it didn't feel like I was grinding or getting uninterested.

There are plenty of clan wars happening, but for now it is up to the players to do something creative to make it fun because its basically like a watered down Team DM game with no real goal. If they add capturable clan outposts and bases, I can see clan pvp going to a whole new level.

I'm waiting on a few keys to be freed up before I send another, otherwise I'd send you one.

As to content running out - I think that really depends on how much you play.

I have been playing every 2nd night or so for an hour or two and am only upto the 3rd map - level 27.

So I expect by the time I actually get to the high end maps the content will be there and most of the bugs will be fixed.

They are patching every 2nd week - and last night I found 8 new quests added to the map (Palisades) I am on.

On the other hand - if you play 3 hours every night and 8 hours Sat/Sunday then yes you will hit the level cap and run out of content before your month is up.

If you like the movies Starship Troopers / Aliens and Stargate Tv Series. You make just like the game as well.
