Is the PvP fun?And is it worth starting now?

Im new to MMOS having started with SWG.Basically ive been looking for a PvP game and ive read so many thinga about how this game used to be THE pvp game.Also heard it was ruined...what ashame.But is it still fun and is the PvP fun?I just want something to fill my MMO void till WAR or AoC.I just cant finds any good PvP games.Prolly cause there isnt any .

BTW ive never played this game so i wont be dissapointed by what it used to be if that helps.But i would hate to waste my time on a dead game.

Not trying to sound like a broken record that you will probably hear on most reply's to this question. But the PvP was great, one of the best. But sadly they have destroyed the game with horrid patches. If you want to see the game for what it was, search for a Pre Ren private shard.

To be honest the game itself has come along way in the past year , is it hard to get started yes , PVP currently is very good ( not 100%)  ,  There are alot of people here how will bash the game for what it was in the past ( yes it was great , back in the day) ,but a game must expand and grow , UO of 8-10 years ago wouldnt have survived this long ( my opinion)..

My suggestion , buy a copy of the 9th anniversay if you can find it , depending on where you live , try out one of the following shards ( Lake Superior , Atlantic , Pacific ,Greatlakes) , plan to try it out for 2 months , if you dont like it , just stop playing.

As for UO Kindom Reborn , if you have a good connection download that and try it , recent patches have made this upgrade very playable..

PS : Oh yea if you need help , MOST player will be more than willing to help you out..

Man its never too late to enjoy this (to this day, 10 years later!) unique mmo classic. It is different then what it used to be, but there is a crapload of more stuff to do and places to explore than there was. When I say different, so no one takes my words out of context, I mean different, not better or worse. The new Kingdom Reborn client is great now, with the option to turn on/off legacy modes and artwork, and most bugs and other issues have been addressed. And you can take it from me, cause I will tell you KR was a steaming pile of crap, when it was released a few months ago. With the Stygian Abyss expansion looming on the horizon, things are about to get interesting again. Hope to see you in game. Oh, by the way, if you have a hankerin' for pvp, i suggest you play in felucca, as that is the ffa pvp realm. Play on siege perilous shard also if you dig more of a challenge, with greater rewards.
