Crom's Black Army  is a merc guild planning to sell our services of death to other guilds in aoc

were a group of people looking for people who like to kill others as much as we do

theres more then one way to be a mercenary then there mercenary system  also it doesnt say that you cant use the mercenary system if  your in a guild....

Well...actually....

You might want to read this. While you may want to operate as a mercenary guild, there probably wont be any mechanic as part of the game for you to do that.

*Can guilded and non-guilded players be able to enlist as Mercs?

-Right now the Merc system is designed for unguilded players to sell their services as Mercs. While it may be possible for guilded players to become Mercs it does cause a potential conflict of interest (belonging to one guild but fighting for another). Even if guilded players are allowed to become Mercs, the system is NOT designed to allow entire guilds to be officially "mercenary guilds".

Its just something mechanically we don't have time for release. It is not a case of us not wanting to see it as being possible. Honestly however it would be relatively easy in most situations for a guild to be able to operate as a mercenary still, or if guilded players can be mercenaries even if the guild as a whole cant declare mercenary. This has not been fully worked out.

I'm sure that guilds will find solutions that work for 'em, and I applaud you guys for your efforts to do just that!

i cannot believe that they dont have a "mercenary guild" system in place, it seems like a logical idea

edit: on second thought, i think they actually might have it right, if they did implement such a system it could lead to guilds allying and there being essentially two factions which controlled all the keeps on the server, with no room for independant guilds to snatch one up

heh theres lots of ways to be mercenary's   anthor way is just to get payed to attack a certain guild

 

or we could just attack the enemys battlekeep for them then sell it to whoever wanted it without a fight : )

Another mechanism would be to form a Mercenary guild but have chars individually leave when it is time to farm out your services to another guild, then join back into the Merc guild at the end of the fight.
