TR will need a Xmas Miracle Patch if it is still going to have viable servers a year from now. If they don't fix the issues and have a working game soon...
Very well said! i agree 100%, except for the fact that the game is beyond fixing....
I really wanted a good scifi mmorpg to play. I tried this game in beta, and after launch. Guess what? Its not what I was looking for. Sorry, good try, but based on how other games like this have come and gone, I don't see TR lasting. Hopefully Stargate or Star Trek will fill our scifi mmorpg void. Here's to then.
ive got a 3 y/o ATI x800 all in one tv card in my dell 8400. i dont have the graphics maxed out, but ive had no issues playing the game. i also always choose the busiest server as i like to see live bodies around. no bugs really so far and rarely if ever lag.

Garriott is getting desperate too, just got this in email:
"Help bring new recruits to the AFS and get a FREE Month Credit to Tabula Rasa! If you refer a friend and they purchase a standard account and pay for one month of subscription to the game, you will be automatically credited with one month of free game time!"
If you cannot recognize a poor launch when you see it, well that's ok. And as I said before, if TR had a 1st person view mode, I would be playing it.
And paying for it. So, you tell me. Why does TR not have a 1st person view mode? Seems to me that all the really successfull MMORPGs have managed to get that little feature in. Anyway.
Enjoy the game.
Will try it out again if and when they ever get FP mode in.
Last post on this thread. Good Hunting
Okay the first person thing.....do you mean like WOW, where you go 1st person nad sapp away without really seeing your limps or do you mean more in the way Vanguard does first person, then yes like Vanguards first person i would have loved seeing that in TR, but overall it's not really neccesary for me personaly to enjoy the game. If TR would go first person like WOW i would say skip that as it's just silly 1st person and highly unrealistic when in first person in WOW it's more like staring your target to dead then actualy play 1st person.
First person in the way it's done correctly would take more of it's engine, making hte game specs rise up as first person should have a different animation curve then when using 3rd person. It's not that easy as some of you might think to get immersive type of first person, and like i said i don't need cheap first person where you have no arms/legs weapon to show when in first person.
I been doing the free trail thing and I think it is alot of fun despite what some say. People quickly forget when WOW was launched it has more issues than espn magazine such as major lag, couldn't pick up loot, druid class was horrendous and still to this day Blizzard is still fixing problems. I'm not saying TR is the best mmo ever by no means but to say it is really horrible is rediculous. It may not be for everyone but it is a fun casual mmo for gamers who don't have 24 hrs a day to play games and it can only get better.
The best mmo out there is FFXI. Aweosme community, nice classes and if you are looking for something long term then you might want to check it out. Played it for 2 years and had no complaints.
I really hope TR sticks around for a while it is imo one of the better MMO's to be released in 2007. It has good graphics for an MMO, good sound, and I think the combat is refreshing compared to LOTRO and WoW, it's a lot more fast-paced. Raiding Bane-controlled outposts is a lot of fun and beats just grinding for the sake of grinding. Everyone must at least say that TR has potential. Maybe not to make as much money as WoW but definitely to be a better game.

Tabula Rasa works fine and infact has rock solid servers. I never had a crash since I started playing in late beta.....

The game is 6 weeks old and they are offering free months to people to get a player in for 60 days.
That's pretty sad stuff.
