Credit Dealers in TR are dumb

saragonsaragon Member Posts: 15

Isn't it funny that with the game being very easy to loot up quickly, there are spammers hawking their credit wares to us?  I am so freakin' tired of typing /ignore jackass # 300.  If there was one item any MMO should add is a spam filter to block these fools.

yeah , honestly this one thing will probably be why i dont go past my 2nd month of paid time . The spammers disrupt the channels where they are all but useless and it has taken gms an average of 2-5 hours to remove one , and within 5 mins another replaces him to have another hours long session of spam.

With no way to stop them and no 24 hr GM support after hours the spammers rule all chat channels making anytype of conversation impossible unless you spend more time updating and managing your ignore folder ( which has a limit btw) than the GM''s spend watching out for these guys.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I found it easier to just remove the general Tab from my chat. Granted the game is quieter now, but i had removed it due to inane chatter that was going on anyway.

The help channel is a little bit better (but not as much)

It's funy indeed, whats more funny is those spammer are SOOOOO cheap they only able to walk into a game when there seems to be a trail, so bet they gone soon enough when they realize TR isn't a goldscam game for them, unless there is a fool so stupid at playing games that someone might get into their business of buying money of of them....lol...yeah someone must really be incredibly stupid to use goldscammer for any game what so ever..Never understood what type of person would fall for something like that......

And yes i have notice'd it ##$$%% up the chat channel but then i just say focus more on the gameworld instead of the chatchannel

Not to scab the thread, but there is not 24 hour GM support?  No wonder why I never get responses.  I usually play late night on the east coast.  What kind of hours do they run if you dont mind me asking?

Yeah it sucks that you dont get replies faster ( theyre swamped right now ) but you having to deal with people acting up is due to your unwillingness to use the ignore buttom.

Since this is a known issue and potentially alienating a lot of players, they should hire 24 hour support and have them monitor the channels and immediately ban every RMT seller. After a while it will get too expensive for the RMT sellers to keep buying accounts. By not addressing this issue, they stand to lose a lot of paying customers.

I played the game for six hours one day and had to block three different people spamming messages about buying items or power leveling services.  These people will be the death of MMOs.  When money can buy you a character in a game... how lazy have we become.

I'm sorry but using the ignore feature is not a quality option or answer to this problem.  I should not have to ignore Mr.  Gfgfghgfhgf, 30 minutes after ignoring Mr. asdfdsasfa for spamming the same bs that fills 6 lines of text every mintue.

If you can somehow convince me that ignoring credit spammers is an intended game feature, than I may feel different, but come on.  Those arent solutions they are just ways of avoiding and ignoring the problem.

Ignore function aside, this statement I think is the key to alot of the problems with people in mmos.

Player base is yet untapped ( with few feable attempts ) resource for free CS & minor maintenance... Soem of these most time consuming tasks and issues could be solved by a group of users who would receive some minimal admin powers to bann/etc..

Not only does this take care of alot of problems it involves players ( that choose to be involved ) even more, and that's exactly what aloyt of us want !  To work for free to make the game a better place for everyone ;)

PS:  This is exactly what the ignore button was made for, and it does a great job.  Ignore function is there for you to eliminate people who destroy your gamign experience thru chat.

An easy fix would be to not allow global messages on trial accounts.
