Hey,
Im a huge WoW, SWG, and a few other MMO's guy. Ive thinking bout hitting LOTR up but wanted to know first what you do END GAME in LOTR? Do you 20-40 man raid like WoW? Do you just what? PVP? I dunno. I dont have a clue.

From what i've gathered you can do both of those things
Im not sure on the size of the Raids but they are indeed there, like WoW.
Why you look for the one ring to rule them all of course and if you find it you can be anything you like including a pornstar but it may bend you to its will and force you to do anal, only ingame though.
Craft - you run around and compete for the stuff you need with everyone and their mother also add few chinece farmers to the mix or shardcamp.
Raid - get into a guild and raid the same dungeon gazillion times.
PvMP - you kill "bad guys" or are the "bad guys"
Roleplay - There is that, but I don't like it
What do i do?
Play my 50 when i feel like it or else i'm leveling my alts.I like having several characters.
I'm not raiding a lot because my guild have DKP system and i simply hate that imo unbalanced/unfair system,so i stay to those instances where we do not use DKP system or else i find pick up groups for those where we use it.Loot is not so important for me anymore in mmorpgs so i live with the stuff i have.
Trying to finish all my deeds/traits and that's a long journey.
Helping guildies when i can or other players in the same areas if i feel like it and got the time.Sometimes i just take a day or two where i take my main and head out to the lowbiezones and help newer players with questinstances.
Crafting a bit once in a while.Mostly just when i have gathered enough resources myself because auctionprices are a bit steep on raw materials.
Doing PvP in Ettenmoor sometimes but atm i stopped until i have leveled my minstrel to 50 because that seems like a fun class to play in Ettenmoors.
Roleplaying is not my thing anymore so i don't do that.(did it in Ultima Online and Everquest I)
Farming for money with my main when i'm low on cash on my alts.
Grinding pages for the legendary skills.
Overall i play the game in a slow and cozy pace.Played since release and my chars are just 50/36/20/15/11 so that's slower than i normally play but i have a lifetimeaccount in LOTRO so i don't have to rush anything. It's actually a nice way of playing compared to some of the other 17's mmorpgs i played.
I hope other companies will consider lifetimeaccounts too in the future.

endgame? well hardly.. theres still the rest of middle earth to fill. But yes turbine are starting to add more and more raids. Theres only 2 so far but there will be more. And for pvp monster pvp will have to do as regular pvp will be against lore. For that you play a lv 50 monster in the entermoors, although more areas will be added.
Then this is NOT the game for you.
This is a game for folks that love the lore of Lord of the Rings. It is a game to savor the journey more than the destination.
Any other approach and you will be left wondering why anyone would play this. It really is different from your run of the mill MMORPG, and requires a different approach to get the most out of it.
