country/kingdom/buisness roleplay ?

Is there a MMORPG out there which is based on economy, diplomacy and maybe a necessary war once and a while ? would love to be a king/ruler of a country and control that.... i know there are plenty singleplayer games out there... but i like the diplomacy and trade possibilities in MMORPG

    Closest I can think of is EvE, not that it's a high fantasy game.  But it has diplomacy, ability to control "zones", etc

    hmm ye... eve.... i kinda have a low budget ;) so F2P is a must... and i tried EVE.... i dont get it...

    Hehe, once again, Roma Victor. Politics are a big part, you can create your own empire, trade possibilities are limitless, a true sanbox MMO set in 180 AD.

    thx socrates - RV does actually looks intresting... but theres alot of bad reputation out there :( and only 100-300 active players :S

    maybe if they had a trial i would try it out... but u have to pay like 40£ or something...

    Well actually for the holiday season the game is only 20 bucks... not bad for a lifetime subscription.
