Hey everyone, today the lead developer of Roma Victor announced that for the next little while accounts are going to be sold for only 9.99 GBP each! That's about 20 dollars! For everyone who was a little unsure about this game, now is a great time to buy. The one time payment gives you a lifetime subscription to the only historical sandbox MMORPG out at the moment. Here's a short description of the game:
It's based in Caledonia (Britain) during the time of Commodus around 180 AD. There are two factions, Roman and Barbarian, and within those factions you can create your own guild. Now these guilds have the ability to settle new land, and we're seeing player villages starting to spring up. The game's combat is played in real time FPS mode, you have to aim at what bodypart you want to hit. The crafting in this game is (in my opinion) one of the best crafting systems to appear in an MMO. Everything is built from the ground up, from felling a tree and stripping it, to crafting it into a pole at a polelathe, then you need to attach a spearhead (which came from a smith who got the ore from a miner) to make a spear. The list of craftable items is huge, and now stone structures are starting to become buildable.
The game still has it's downsides though, but if your looking for a sandbox MMO with practically an unlimited area to colonize and fight over, then why not spend the 20 bucks for a lifetime subscription. The possibilites in this game are endless, now what it needs more than anything are people to fill up the world.
