Discoverey, the reasoning behind Starbucks' size naming.

After ordering a new holiday beverage from Starbucks, I finally figured out why Starbucks uses Tall, Grande, and Viente for its naming.  Its actually quite simple.  When you tag any of the names infront of a typical Starbucks beverage, it is impossible to make it sound masculine.

Try it for yourself and order a "Grande Eggnog Latte"

I can, just did it. Try a lower Octave with some power and deliberation. Works for me.

Protip: The simple fact that you are ordering a Latte anything makes you a woman. Or Emo. Maybe both.

Next time, go in, grab the tit at the counter by the lapel of his/her Old Navy shirt, and yell in their face, with spittle flecked ferocity*, "I want black coffee, fucker".

Protip II: Dark roasts make you more manly.

    * Well, as much ferocity as someone that has ever ordered a Latte can aspire to.
