SOE reactives my accounts?

So Ive played, EQ, EQ2, SWG, PS, Matrix Online, Vanguard...

dont play em anymore but I got this email

" ... reactivating your [Planet Side / Vanguard] account for 1 month ..."

So I log on and redownload Vanguard.

The first thing I notice is that the game runs about 10x better than it used to. And I get a flood of other people who quit around when I did and are saying hi to everyone again. It felt like an old reunion. We all met up, and it turned out the crafting exp was redone, so I made on item and it corrected my level to 41. Sweet deal I get to start on the new teir of items. Bunch of my old friends stuck with the game and were 50 crafters going on 50 adventure/diplomacy. The servers were busy, I was seeing people everywhere I went. It definatly didn't feel empty, and the player towns were looking pretty cool.

Lot had changed, somethings didn't. EE was removed sadly, but a lot of tweak were made and quests added.

In short, Im having a hoot. Im def re-subbing to Vanguard. The raiding content is supposed to be par-non, and they've just started to pump it out.

I think this might have been the best idea SOE has had in a long while. There are a lot of people online saying they missed Vanguard and and planning on resubscribing.

Cool idea from Sony, and I think its going to pay off... Anybody else pickup up vanguard since they quit due to this Power Play by Sony?

I re subed before the free return and found that VG is alot better then it was.  I am pleased too see that the game has a pulse once more and is geting better with every patch/update.  Performance is the main improvement that I have noticed and that was the reason I quit VG so I am glad too see the improvement on it.

Ah yeah SOE reactivated my VG account for free and Im having a blast in Qualia with a disciple, im def. resubing. at the end of the free time.
