old 7xer thinking about coming back

I have a 7x nox mage that I have not played in years, was wondering how much of a change the game has went thru. I've seen all the new expansions and what not but was wondering if the game was still basically the same. I believe i quit playing right before stat scrolls were introduced. I was wondering how hard would it be to get my 7x gm mage up to the max skill now and how big of an issue getting gear is?

Its going to be a different game when you log in. Not much will change with your mage though. Only thing you'll have to do really is pick up some armor. Yes, mage armor
. Log back in for a month and see how you like it. If worse comes to worse you've only spent $13 for a month of game access.
so i'm guessing mage armor is no longer ore robes or leather armor or my fav just running around nekkid killing people? bah... and what is the max skill now with the scrolls? also how hard is it to get the scrolls to up your statsskills?

The days of naked mages has ended. Even as a Dexer Im disapointed to hear that. Scrolls can be had a few ways. Either buy them off a vendor for a very large sum (20 scrolls) or try to do a spawn. Its very hard to do a spawn though because there aren't to many blues that are willing to get together in a large group to defend the spawn, and also finish it. Most of the time you'll have a bunch of reds that like to come in and take over when your almost done.
It is a totally different game IMO. But like the 2nd poster said....do it for a month, see for yourself, and if you hate it then you're only out $13. I feel there are better MMOs out there or coming out in 2008. If you are really craving an MMO try looking at AoC or WAR they are both pretty big names that will release in 2008.
