I went through with it!
The tattooist was great. She reassured me about everything. The place was clean, and it turns out getting a tattoo isn't as terrible as i thought it would be. Whoo!
Since i just got the tattoo tonight, its a bit red. The flower is actually all white, and it turns out my cat has a 'spot'. But its cute. Cheers!

And it only took two hours to do, which I used to catch up on my reading. Looks great, hunni.
That tat looks tight. I can't wait to get mine. Vamp, get a tattoo with my name on it next time. Enigma got a tattoo on his @ss with Dekron's name on it.

Congrats! I remember my first tattoo. Your's looks exceptionally well done. I am glad you found the right person to do it for you.
Oh and in case your tattoo artist didn't already tell you:
Use lots of lotion on it.
Don't keep it out in the sun for too long until it is fully healed.
It is going to itch like hell in about 3 days, no scratching.
Failing to do these things could result in permanent damage to your tattoo, which could be costly to fix.

Nice one. Seems like half the community on MMORPG is going to get a tattoo, while the other half is underage and can't get one. I belong to the other half, but I'm considering getting some really nerdy tattoo later.
lol qft?
is pretty
She told me everything about it, except for the horrible itchy part. Thats gonna drive me nuts. I've been cleaning it with Dial, and smothering it with aquaphor. I'm glad I chose my shoulder over my bicep, too. Its easier to cover up, and I think is a little more feminine.
Now my only worry is if I'm going to have to swim as soon as I get back to school, next week. I love swimming, but with a large open wound on my shoulder, I can't actually get into the pool =
Oh ya! No chlorine! It will strip away your scab and any ink not healed over. It usually only takes about 8-10 days to fully heal over though, so you might be alright.
Just make sure you don't have a scab before you get into the water.
P.S. I agree that it looks better on your back, not because of the femininity thing but rather the backl has more space and therefor could be more detailed.

Congratulations. It looks good.
Of course now you have to be careful. Once you get one, there's the imminent danger of being bitten by the tattoo bug. Then you just have to get another. And another, and another, and so on.
It looks good. That must be wierd to let heal in that part of your body, I remember my friends getting tattoos on their arms and needing to keep fabric off of them for a bit.
Aquaphor is awesome. I have dehydrosis on my hands, and everything perscribed to me and store bought wouldnt work, until my wife told me about aquaphor. Gets rid of dry areas in 24 hours or less.

Right now I'm trying to figure out if its ok that a little bit of ink gets on my shirt during the day. Its not like it hurts, it just seems to seep out a little.
Yeah, you'll get some seepage of excess ink for a few days. Nothing to worry about, unless you're wearing a white shirt
Well that was thoughtful of him lol.
but mine are gonna be the new kind you dont have to get surgery to remove im been reading about.
They can give u a special chemical treatment on your skin to remove them, but yet their permanent.

Ugh. Why would any fool go ahead and get a tattoo unless he really, really wanted it? I mean, I don't understand the point of a tattoo you can eventually get removed. If you don't want it on your skin forever, DON'T get it.
Its a form of art, but then at a certain age you regret it because it no longer fits you or your style. Im plannin on getting some sort of tattoo soon but i know eventually i will want it removed maybe when im 50-60 years old.
But a tattoo is supposed to be a very firm reminder of something meaningful in your life. Though your skin may just be a canvas for ink, the ink and pain itself is what will later remind you of something very powerful in your life.
30, 40, even 50 years down the road, you should be able to look at your tattoo (whether or not its a little faded, or even stretched shouldn't matter), and remember exactly why you got it. Perhaps its something with great meaning to you (such as an animal you truely love, or someone you love), or even a simple thing that doesn't have much meaning, but will still signify something great in your life (your 18th birthday, getting married, getting your dream job). You should deliberate what you're getting inked into your skin, not go charging forward, knowing you could have it removed a few years down the road.
Tattoos are a rite of passage in many, many countries; something painful and time consuming. They should be worn with pride, and you shouldn't ever regret them.
Of course. It is good technology, but I just don't see the purpose of getting something embedded in your skin if you even think you'd possibly want to take it off, ever.
My friend got all sorts of tattoo's then went worked out gained 30 pounds and his tattoos looked stretched and like crap, thats the reason i want a tattoo that is easily removable.

Then you put your tattoo where its not going to expand, if you're scared that you'll have problems with your body weight... I mean, if you get drunk and get your face tattooed on your face, ink that dissolves with certain chemicals is a good idea, but if you've thought through a tattoo, you shouldn't need to have dissolving ink.
You'd be surprised to find how many people get tattoos without much thought or while heavily inebriated. Lucky for some that a reputable tattoo parlor will not give you one unless you are sober.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
Or simple with age that it wont shrink or expand by some amount. Look at old biker guys.....
