Those people who are in Beta cannot comment on the state of the game because that would be breaking the NDA.
You should absolutely not trust content posted by those beta testers who decide to break their NDA. They are posting examples of an unfinished product that may not resemble the final product, particularly in the graphics department.
I know many people are starved for content, but please don't take what little information there is available and blow it up to be much larger than it is.
Last summer I bought a new PC for the - supposed - autumn release of AoC. Now that it's postponed I'm going to overclock the shit out of my 8800GTS card. If it breaks then good riddance. Then I can buy a better one
Isn't nVidia releasing some new cards soon? I heard some rumours last summer. It's now jan'08 and still nothing?

All I am saying is
If AOC supports pixel shader 2.0 (or even 1.5)
And devs say that it will run on PC that can run Oblivion.
This means that everyone can run it at least at low settings. Which will make me indeed very happy !
