yeah what the hell is Aion? . Remember Vanguard and how it was hyped up?
A part of me is afraid that the Vanguard type of hype is more prominent in AoC and WAR than Aion. However, overall hype is what Aion (like imports) is lacking when compared to the two other titles, yet I am not sure if that is a bad thing for NCsoft at this time!
Well i need to play both WAR and AOC. If both are good then I will sub to both.
I `m hoping that both games will be ace, but I am also pragmatic in terms of longetivity. All mmo`s get a bit dry if played too much. When you over-focus on one game you also tend to make impossibly high demands on the amount and variety of content and on the gamer community in general. Playing two games means that when I need a break from WAR I can immediately focus on AOC.
Overall, I do love the look of both thus far. Huge fan of both the Conan and the Warhammer universe.
So I have two lovers, which one is likely to the get most of my sweet luvin`? The best pvp experience will get most of my attention when the pve content is exhausted or waiting to be expanded. This will be the real test of my hot and lusty affections.
A big test of AOC is what is going to be meant by `mature`. If it`s the FHM or Jack Ass dumbed down variety of `mature` (i.e. breasts, nudity, crass behaviour and cartoon violence) then I would be disappointed as this type of `mature` is merely a euphemism for annoyingly immature and irresponsible adults - the frat-boy version of Conan would turn me off BIGTIME. However, if by `mature` they mean a morally ambigious and often violent universe with flawed anti-heroes and cool, intelligent narratives (i.e. mature here meaning `intelligent` or `complex`) then I would be pleased. In fact, a wee bit of breast titilation here and there would flavour the broth nicely, just so long as it isn`t overdone.
If one of the games should suck then my next choice would be Chronicles of Spellborn.
So I hope we don`t end up hyping the competition between these two games and that both communities can learn to `love` one another.

Seems like your labelling 29% of 40,000 people as SuperNerds who haven't lost their virginity?

I'd label all 100% of the voters as supernerds, personally.
Oh, and while I'd not date Paul Barnett, I would have a beer or ten with him.
Out of the 3, I'm mostly looking forward to Aion. It just looks like they are combining all the good elements from games and making it better in this one. I don't really care about if its been done or not, I just want a fun game to play.
I also like the flying and the air combat idea. I know Perfect World has flying (not sure about the air combat though) but IMO, Aions looks a lot better. The cinematic quest movies is also a plus. Id rather watch a movie about what Im supposed to do then to have to scroll through 20 pages of dialog. PvPvE looks interesting. The graphics and art direction is great. Localization, if they do follow through with what they said, will be great as well in that the grind will be much more comfortable for the western market. Theres a whole lot more, but I can't type that much stuff out. Guess I'm just lazy.
Age of Conan was at the top of my list a few months ago, but, I dunno. Im still interested in it, but not as much anymore. I'll still try it as well as WAR, because testing a game for yourself is the best way to go.

AoC becuase its gunna have way better interface and PVP and other crap like that and lots of adult content. Aion is a korean game made from Ncsoft which its gunna probley be like l2 or something like every other game that koreans make lol ALL THE SAME. WAR idk its made from the poeple who made DAoC, which that was a great game by the way but its probley gunna be the same maybe a litte differnt? lol but thats my opion i Think AoC all the way
I say none. If the hype don't kill AOC and WAR then Blizzard,Bioware and Arenanet will in 2009. AOC and WAR will be short lived very quickly. Save your money and play a good online rpg until 2009.

Guild Wars 2 will kill nothing - its impact will be about as large as Guild Wars 1. I do not doubt it will be good, but unless it repositions itself as more of a complete online experience - which is hard since it has no subscription fees - it will not go much further than the original. Even if it does do that, the fact it has pigeonholed itself as a sequel will hurt it.
Bioware may do something interesting, but I'd reserve judgement until it is at least announced. No one knows anything concrete about it yet. If it is indeed a Star Wars game, it could target a very different audience. Besides, this thing is probably looking at a 2010 release. If they say 2009, I'd call shenanigans and assume it will be delayed a year.
Blizzard will not kill anything by just releasing expansions for WoW, and its new MMORPG will be lucky to be released by 2011. There is no motivation for them to compete against themselves, and there is no sign they will lose massive amounts of subscriptions any time soon. Until they will steal subscriptions away from others instead of just themselves, which results in little profit, they are not going to hurry. Besides, Blizzard is the king of long development times and polish, and needs to make sure it outdoes itself on its next MMORPG. World of Warcraft took 6+ years from initial concept and planning to release, and this newly announced MMORPG is still being sketched out. Even if they throw tons of resources and their experience at it there is no way they will push out a AAA in under four years.
Anyway, I think WAR and AoC are safe for quite a while, assuming they are any good and do not die by their own crappiness. And, if they are good enough, competition will not be too much of a problem.

And maybe put out. For a beta key.
WAR looks to be more of the same (oddly with more dated graphics)
Aion - interesting, will have to see.

LOL. Nice one
( I was thinking that 29% was probably a low number for the virgin count on ANY gamer site myself)

Kinda read like 100% of all the voters in that section to me Alienovrlord ?
I would of thought Aion and CoS would of got higher percent in that vote tbh.
