I am guilty of being a male with solely female Characters But only because the female character models are all so much more appealing than the males .. obviously, i suppose. That has actually always been a gripe i've had with GW, the males are fugly - especially male Warriors, i mean .. what the hell? That isnt human.
My Female Warrior and Monk are sexeh. Alot has to do with the Armours, though. Nice armours in the game.
I'm just worried about the guy that builds the female avatar and then spends an hour making sure he has the right hair style and color to go with outfit.
Hell, I do that with my male characters... Gotta look good for the ladies whilst slaying the minions of Abaddon
Lol,actually yeah,I like both male and female charecters in GW, they look nice. And in GW2, I wish the diverse races will make some variety though.
Guild wars sucks, 8 skills....max...what is this EQ 1?
All instancing ?.....weak
Nothing unique, everyone is the same..sure they have different titles.. who cares.
No economy either, what would you buy?
Its basicly an online single player game. i won't even get started on their horrid pvp.
one of the parts which i like about GW is 8 skills only... i dont wont XXamounts of skils like in WoW. coz i need all the skills available to get a working build. since ill usually end up useing only that many skills anyways no matter who many skills ive got available...
all instancing dosent really matter... its either that with a game story or just run around and do mission after until u hit the max lvl. i know that this leaves out the PVP "danger" in PVE but some of us can live without it...
nothing unique, everyone is the same part i dont really get... i mean i most games ppl look the same. like in wow most ppl wear the same armor and weapons. is that unique? (soz no offense to wow players :P)
pve is basicly a online single player game... cant argue with that. the pvp on the other hand i can agrue against. personally i cant find anything wrong with it. aslong as u got a pvp guild that is. i mean if uve tryed pvp and only played Random Arena then i know why u think its sucks... but GvG and HA is really fun as long asn ur playing with ppl who know what they are doing...

To me no problem with using female characters although your a guy in real life. It is only sad IF you have them dancing around/running around town armroless. Plus, I still remember when more than one look for armor was used until they just decided to pick one type for each.
Anyway, to me it was more like an rpg and not like an mmorpg. I mean sure in some towns there were a few people but when doing quests I mainly had heros and hench since everyone else was doing that.
There is no roleplaying in any kind of form involved. Admit it, Guild Wars players, have you ever seen anyone roleplay or even develop their characters properly?
I always said GW is a solid game, but a horrid community on average.

I usually played it solo with my heros.
I think GW's community is crap but I think most MMOs have rubbish communities in general, but that just be my own personal experience mind you.
Speaking of which, I went to The Deep yesterday and the necros were new and they were doing a couple of things wrong and the abuse they got...was horrendous. I think it wasnt very clever for teh BiP to bring Animate Flesh Golem instead
We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.

Ive never roleplayed in Oblivion either. Are you claiming that Oblivion isnt a rpg either?
As for developing a character, GW is all about that. Unlike some other 'MMORPG's' where the game develops your character for you and leaves you with a few points to put in something called ehm..'talents' for example.
Add the main storyline to this and you are actually developing your character and sidekicks (heroes) while having an adventure which has more story to it then 'kill x boars' .

LAWL =P
1) 8 equipped skills yes...if you're looking for a game where you can use any skill you want at any time (and all these skills together account for hardly any may I add), then I suggest you look elsewhere. Some of us, however, actually like games that require skill to play!
2) If you'd taken the time to add exactly WHY it's weak, maybe people would take your argument more seriously
3) Nothing unique...wtf? Even if there was just a single item in the game, it would be unique. If you mean a weapon of which only one copy exists, I once again point you elsewhere. Guild Wars is not item-based.
4) Once again I lol...
5) Wakakaka. That gave me the best laugh. What would you consider good PvP? PvP for which you have to grind countless hours in order to get a single item you need so that you can be a viable asset to your team?
In summary, I think Guild Wars is a little too skills-based for your liking.
Originally posted by Mimimi_Ru Guild wars sucks, 8 skills....max...what is this EQ 1?One of the things I love most about Guild Wars is the tactical aspect. Having access to only 8 skills when not in towns add a great tactical aspect as well as depth and need of thinking. You can't just charge in without planning your build (and your heroes), but must rather put them together carefully. All instancing ?.....weakThis makes it much more versatile when it comes to quests. You're able to run through an area with different monsters thanks to the fact that the instance is for you only.Nothing unique, everyone is the same..sure they have different titles.. who cares.Have you even played the game? I doubt it, the game got quite a lot of unique stuff. No economy either, what would you buy?Perfect weapons, ectos and stuff to create better and more awesome looking armor. As you got quite many characters (usually) you need to buy gear for them all, and for all your heroes. Its basically an online single player game. i won't even get started on their horrid pvp.Why is it a online single player game? You meet lots of peoples in town and so on and if you want to group it's quite easy. You can join a guild to play with and in PvP there's (of course) pretty much only players. What the f*ck! The PvP in Guild Wars is one of the best imo, it got lots of tactic in it and it's nothing you charge into as newbie. GvG in Guild Wars is truly challenging.
Because you got it all wrong. GW isn't for you, that's for sure.
