we all know we have a favorite game out there, be it Lineage II, Guild wars, eq2, WoW, or City of Heros that hooks us for a specific reason, wether the feel of the game, an interesting concept, a quest system, a class system, or just cause you think a game looks damn fine. whatever the reason tell me your favorite mmorpg and why.

Dark and Light
Seamless world. One "server", everyone on the same world. The most realistic world, view distance, weather, and astronomy in any mmog - period - and that has a real impact on the world, creatures, players, quests, skills, and more! This game promises in-depth and robust PvE, PvP, crafting, politics, and exploration. Many amazing forms of transportation, including realistic atmospheric flight that uses real life physics including wind direction and velocity! Character models and other graphics that are about on par with the industry. Devs who are making a game for the love of gaming and fantasy, rather than doing it to get rich. No publishers or 'suits' telling them how to do their job or when to push it to release so they can take the time to do it properly. Professional GM's on 24/7 to help animate and bring life to the world, quests, storylines, and more. Overall great community.... Need I go on?
Vanguard
Brad has assembled an all star crew. When combined with lots of backing, inovative new game making tools, and the best engine in the gaming industry, Vanguard has more promise than any MMORPG in history. Not to mention they already have more lore than some released or soon to be released titles.
Second would be EQ2. It has great graphics, and some very inovative ideas in gaming. The locked encounter looks crappy at first glance (that was my first thought), but it will allow them to control encounters which means big battles can be a small group fighting a tough, but not overpowered mob. That is a big improvement over todays tactics of creatures having more and more HP and DPS while you throw more and more people at them.
Third would probably be WoW. I pick on the graphics for being cartoonish, but they are still pretty good. I have heard the game play is good, and it looks to be a solid, high quality game.
The same as n2sooners!
First place - Vanguard
Second place - EQ2
Third place - WoW
Tabula Rasa...
Most of the original Origin devs workin on it, innovative combat, crafting, universe, and mission structure.
