Quick warning to reactivating (just a lesson learned)

Alright FFXI doesn't bill like a standard MMO, 30-31 days sence you reactivated, they do it by month.  So when you reactivate, make sure you reactivate early in the month, and not at the end, otherwise you get charged for the month you just reactivated plus the new month.

My awsome instance was, I reactivated Dec 31st around 6pm EST, anyways...  I get my bill on the 3rd for 24.90!  Awsome right...  So they billed for Dec and Jan.  I called up and they credited me a month, but they never know when the credit goes through, so you just have to keep your account active! lol

So to anyone thinking about reactivating, make sure it's early in the month so you get your full moneys worth!!!

This isn't a message looking down on the game, just wanted to give people fare warning to not make the same mistake I did.

Peace, Love, and Tarutaru!

Yup, happened to me when I used to play about a year ago. Reactivated at the end of a month and got charged for it even though I didnt play it but for only the last 2 days of that month I reactivated.

Thats really strange because ive re-activated in the middle of the month and they sort of pro-rated it and only charged about what half a month would cost.

it seems very odd to me that they wouldn't just charge you when you have played for 30 days and you have to "resubscribe" as it were, so everyone was on their own time and not the months

These errors are infact illigal and they break the law by allowing the glitch to remain knowing its there. They are breeching their own terms of service by not providing the service and are therefore liable. You are more then entitled to reimbursement or credit.

He's right, when you call technical support make sure to make your voice stand out with a tone so they don't try to walk all over you. Don't yell at them lol, just assert yourself.
