In case you weren't aware, I am relatively new to MMORPGs. I played Guild Wars simply because I thought that it was ridiculous to pay a monthly fee for a game, and I also wanted something that wouldn't take a huge toll on my Dimension 4700 (Ok... You have permission to make fun of me)! About 3 months later, my friend convinced me that World of Warcraft was worth the montly fee and bought the game for me. After killing my first kobold, I was hooked! WoW took up about 6 months of my life but it slowly lost its luster. Now it's my turn to find a game that my friends and I can play since we quit World of Warcraft.
My friends and I are casual gamers and my computer couldn't take hardcore play sessions anyway. PvP is our thing. We spend more time PKing more than actually leveling up our toons. I don't like f2p games simply because they don't have as much content and they don't really appeal to me that much. I'd also like something that isn't ancient. Your suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

If you really want pvp with the wow feeling you like then I would suggest waiting a few months and picking up WAR it seems to be the game you guys would love.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

if you'd like something that isn't ancient, what about voyage century, the game content is good.
