Thank you.

Still under $1500 and you would notice a huge increase in performance.

lmao wow..you're spending 1500 bucks for an AMD and 8600 gt?

first things first, get rid of the zalman cooler, stock cooling is sufficient. drop the AM2+ mobo, get this one

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059

    with this cpu

    then get this video card

  • Thanks guys! I took both of your inputs and they mixed together quite nicely. The price raised only $100. I'm sure this will be better than anything WAR and AoC can throw at me!

    WAR, probably... AoC, doubt it.

I would say get this cpu instead. It's much faster on programs that support quad cores while only a bit slower on ones that don't.

Monitor has a slow response time for the money.

Here is my recommended list for LCD Monitors

5ms should be enough. Remember its only B/W the response time is presented in. Full color is something else.

I'd build a intel system over AMD at the moment,

    CPU Core 2 Duo E6750 $189.99

    Motherboard ABIT IP35 Pro $179.99
