OK, my story is the same as many others, played this @ release for about 2 hours and dropped it. However, I've realized that it may have been a mistake as I'm just sick of all these generic MMO's. I'm ready to give htis another shot and am DLing the 10day trial as I type this. OK, so my questions:
1. I live in CA, any recommendations for a healthy server?
2. I've heard there is PVP in this game, which classes are viable options for this? I don't care about the most overpowered, but I don't want to reach max level and find myself gimped.
3. Any other tips for newbs that might come to mind?
Thanks for taking the time to reply, hope to see you folks in game tomorrow morning!

1. Since the merge, all the servers are in great shape and grouping is easy as could be.
2. PVP is a total after thought in this game, not at all important or even hardly implemented...don't bother building for it. There's PVP "pits" in a couple taverns and a PVP sign up feature that almost no one uses.
3. TELL PEOPLE YOU'RE NEW! A lot of low level characters you'll group with are just alts of people who've been playing for a years. They'll tend to sprint full speed through the low level quests they've done a bunch of times and that can totally ruin it for new people. Usually though, if you just tell them "hey, I'm brand new, can we go slow?" they'll have fun watching YOU have fun.
Awesome, thanks a bunch for the advice.
