It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
I just watched the new exclusive vids for Aion classes and my hype level just went up a notch. Way to go Mmorpg.com! I can't thank you guys enough for those new vids.
All the classes look great, the graphics and music are very nice too, even though i have heard all those songs before i still enjoy them. Those vids aren't super high quality (the resolution etc i mean) but still look very good. Combat looks pretty smooth also, and it's good to see alot of player activity involved and not point and click or stand around clicking skill buttons etc.
So many cool classes, i have no idea which to play first now.... I was thinking Gladiator before, but even though they look good, of those videos i was probably least impressed by theirs. They all look really fun.
Guess i might have to take back what i said in the other thread, it's starting to look like MMORPG.com is THE place to go for Aion info! Please keep it up, it's great to hear more about the game, and to see it is even better.

Those videos aren't MMORPG.com exclusive, you can find them pretty much anywhere on the web. If you stay up-to-date at aionsource.com, you'll be able to watch videos of actual gameplay in the Korean closed beta, and much more. However, the class videos you watched WERE in-game footage anyways.
and yes, the combat is very fluid and sexy . I'm definitely becoming a templar.
Oh, wierd. On the front page of this site it says latest exclusive videos, then shows them right below that.
I admit i don't go to aionsorce as much as i should, but i've been signed up there for quite a while. I haven't seen any of these there before, maybe i just missed them? I do know the music well though, i have heard almost all of it before in other vids, but i still love them.
Templars do look nice, but so do the rest. Think i may start with 4 and narrow it down from there, Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger or Cleric. Or maybe pick one of those then move on to the others and narrow them down as well, sorta like an Aion class choice tournament = P.
Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed at MMORPG.COM at the moment.
These videos have been available for quite some time at other web sites. I'd say that they simply need to change the text on the front page to remove the word "exclusive" from the video selection, but then they go and put their site banner before and after the video.
Seriously, what the blip is up with that?
Or maybe that was added automatically? I have to download the videos to watch them, so I still need to give the benefit of the doubt there I suppose...
Nonetheless, this isn't the first time that they've tacked the word "exclusive" onto videos and/or screen shots that everyone else has been showing.
In any case...
If you want to watch Aion videos - some of which are just down right awesome - then I recommend that you go to either AionSource.com or AionGlobal.com. They're both very good resources.
mmorpg.com has always had a lack luster offering of information about this title. The issue of "exclusivity" aside, you just won't find recent information here about Aion.
Later folks.
edited to fix link
also head here if u want some great quality vids for Aion http://www.gametrailers.com/game/2706.html
Hah! I just discovered this game today I never really liked that type of Asian gfx style (bad FFVII experience years ago) untill today. This game looks great. I really liked those videos. I think I can safely add Aion to the list of MMO's to watch out for in 2008 along with AoC.
Their website is... as Batman would say: 'diabolical' in asfar as detailed information goes (meaning there is hardly any). Guess i'll have to keep watching MMORPG.com for the details. Oh and i'll give aionsource.com a look.
Yes indeed, our current website is very lite (light). We are working on a proper site which should replace the current one, not too far into the future.
Right now, if you are looking for details concerning gameplay mechanisms and such, the fansites are probably your best bet at finding it - as you mentioned.

That's good to know, i'd like an official Aion website that it put together well so I have something to show to my friends whom i'm trying to convice to play right now.
