Yay McCain won. Some other things happened, but I think they are are irrelevant. Its just a pity independant voters in California cannot vote for the republican ballot, since moderates like McCain would get alot more votes from independants.
not wanting to sound too polemic, but when I heard the news of the primaries this morning on the radio, it sounded rather like a rock concert than a political event. people were cheering and screaming like mad after their candidate gave their speeches...
imo mixing up entertainment and politics is a dangerous thing. but as I do not live in the US and do not see the whole picture, I maybe have a wrong impression. content seems to move to the fringes of political debate in favour of superficial catch phrases, who spends the most money and gets the biggest celebs on their side. am I wrong?

That's about the gist of it.
As a general rule, Joe Sixpack is too busy to take time to really investigate the issues, and learn about the candidates voting records, and etc. They rely on easily digested sound bites, and gut feeling.
I'd really like to see Hillary lose Michigan. We moved our primary up to the 15th of January because we got tired of piss ant states like Iowa and New Hampshire holding all the attention. How many god damn cars and trucks has either of them made last we checked? The Motor City gets no love.
Anyhow- she's the only one of the big three on the ballot. Richardson didn't take his name off. Dodd didn't- but he's since dropped out. Obama and Edwards followed their party, because their party threatened to withhold delegates because the moving of the primary goes against party rules... Clinton is just another arrogant ass who thinks she can get away with anything. She's such a damn phony.
It would be hillarious if "uncommitted" won Michigan. We can vote "uncommitted." If 15% or more voters do so, "uncommitted" has delegates set aside for the front-running candidate not on the ballot- i.e. Obama.
People really don't like Hillary Clinton here. But there's not enough talk about the "uncommitted" option on the television news. You have to read the paper to find out about it or look online. And the only reason I read the paper is because I work at the Detroit News. Trust me, no one reads the paper anymore- ask the people I work with who will be getting laid off soon.
It really pisses me off that she's going to be handed Michigan and probably get a slap on the wrist from her party for it. Then she'll probably make jokes about her landslide victory and that will piss me off even more.
I'd love nothing more than to see her lose the impossible- just so I could watch her cry again. She cried her way to a win in New Hampshire. What's she gonna do next? She gonna break down on "The View" so she can get more of that female pity vote?
Argh. It's obvious the news media will never stop being in her corner no matter how big a flake and a loser she is.
As far as McCain goes... "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran" comes to mind. Yeah, no thanks John.
Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. ... There's a bad moon on the rise.

Hehe, yeah. Talk about political theater, geez. I saw interviews with New Hampshire women in which they talked about how "genuine" Hillary's little teary eyed skit was and I wanted to puke. I can't believe people still fall for crap like that.
Her other clever trick to get the sympathy and/or outrage vote was to have some guys come to one of her speeches and start yelling crap about her ironing their shirts. I mean...come ON, I'll believe the moon is made of cheese before I'll believe that that little act wasn't staged by her campaign staff.
McCain only won because NH allows independents to vote in their primary. He's not a conservative at all and I really doubt he'll win the nomination. And after Ron Paul's second poor showing, will his rabid fans finally realize that he isn't going anywhere?
No, they won't...they still believe that youtube = the American population and that a straw poll conducted on a random website is an accurate representation of how the American people will vote.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
McCain is a moderate now? I thought he was Mr. Conservative? That's what got him votes; I find that funny though as Ron Paul is the most conservative candidate for either side.
What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?

McCain is a moderate. He wins by independents and moderate Republicans.
Ever think the ones raising the questions about the integrity of voting machines may be the ones who want to rig the vote? Once you cast your vote, how many will come back to the polls to re-vote?
McCain won't win Florida, sorry bud. I've been canvassing Florida for days on behalf of Ron Paul, and while not all republicans are voting Paul, I found only a few are voting McCain. Huckabee and Romney will both probably do better than McCain, and I wouldn't be suprised if Paul does better than him too - there's a lot more anti-war republicans down here.
Rudy thinks he has an upperhand down here; he might as well just quit now cause I haven't met anyone yet voting for him and I've hit over 5,000 houses so far. Thompson won't do well either I don't suspect.
As for democrats, it's hard to tell, Oboma and Clinton both have a lot of supporters down here.
Overall I'm sticking with Paul personally. The only anti-war republican, the only one that can beat a democrat IMO; with the republican base largely shrunk over the war and Bush's constitant screw ups.

For the "Live Free or Die" State it's sad to see them pick McCain. Electronic voting machines should never be used, should hand count them all.
Hehe.. So.. Which spot did Ron Paul get?
Clinton owned NH.

Bread, and circuses, and all that.

There was fraud for sure. Those Diebold machines are so easily rigged.

There is at least one confirmed family that voted for Ron Paul and their votes werent counted
Must be a conspiracy against Ron Paul...I'm sure he would have won if it weren't for this one family

He was only this close to winning.
Johnny, tell him what he's won!

Follow Up Post. The South Carolina primaries just finished and...
McCain won. Yay some other stuff happened but I am not sure how relevant it is.
SC voting machines not set to zero before voting started.

Always need to have PAPER ballots, no touch screen voting machines. And have a mandorty audit for every electicion.
