I was very hype about this game coming out and wanted to see someone on the forums hype about getting invited to the beta. Like you see on the WAR forums alot on this website. But then I readed in a current topic that is against the NDA for AOC to tell anyone that your in the beta. That is kinda weird curve ball to me that you can't even tell anyone that your in the beta. That the game is 2 months from begin released and no one can tell that their even in the beta. That makes me wonder if there is even a beta going on right now. I don't know but thats just me and it feels kinda weird to me about this game. But thats just my 2 cents I wanted to share about AOC.

Ok thanks I'm just curious because everyone know about all the NDA stuff about WAR and all the people that broke the NDA telling about the game. But I really haven't heard anything about any people breaking the NDA for AOC.

Obviously you haven't been following AoC closely. Maybe you need to "readed" a little more.
A couple recent beta articles... still almost three full months till release.

FC made an official annoncement about the beta in december and they said there is more than 10 000 in beta right now. But I lot have doubts. But why would they lie?

AoC doesnt have a running tally of beta applicants like WAR does as I recall. HOwever if they did IM sure they would have close to WARs numbers

You not seeing many beta leaks because to be honest the community for AoC pretty much respects the NDA agreement.
I find your point a bit strange, so your saying that people should say they are in Beta and thats all, just so you know? Or are you asking people in AoC Beta to break it and tell you stuff?
Pretty much what you read from the press with their hands on time is what is happening, such as the mmorpg.com hands on time not too long ago and the ones from the link above.
The people who break NDA generally have deeper issues with the game and think its their god given right to express to the world how an unfinished game with bugs in is so bad. These types of break have been less that a handfull and found unproven pretty much from people playing for all of 5 minutes, often have other issues with the game, break it because of spite, or got stuck on noob island.
Trust me there is a beta going on, its been in beta for a very long time already. You will have to forgive Funcom for not really excessively using the fact they have a Technical / General / Closed Beta as a marketing tool in the past unlike some games.
If you publically admitted you were in beta, how many pms you think you would get?
Maybe if your were to elaborate a bit more about your 'weird feeling' in relation to the whole point of an NDA agreement I might be able to 'get' what your saying a bit better.

AoC intrigues me more than WAR, knowing my luck, I'll get into the WAR beta and not AoC's.
I think all original AO players at AO's release should get a free invite to AoC after having to suffer through that launch

thats stupid. Age of Conan is in beta. I am not in it, but i know someone who ** (i didnt actually say it!) Anywho, it is a good game, but to think that there is really no beta and that vaporware was considered is silly, but yes it is a great game. cant wait till it comes out!

The NDA for WAR is actually a little different, believe it or not. You can admit that you are a part of the WAR beta, but that's it, and to be honest, that's the first NDA that I've seen that has permitted that, just about every other NDA that I've read, is very specific that you cannot even admit to that.

FYI...the beta is the beta application, and then the page you get after you submit your beta application!
