in City of Heroes

the new CoV expansion(City of villians) they are gonna add alot more to the game and make it much much more interesting and fun and alot more to do.

From what i read if i understand it fully.......you can craft items now.....theres gonna be PvP good vs. bad...not sure if it is open pvp...ithink they will be adding to the game world size...

But just read up on that site and see for your selfs

    City of Villains is an expansion.  Yes you will need City of Heroes first.

    Does anyone know if along with city of villians if there will be any new archetypes? or maybe any new powers added?

    Too early to tell; Cryptic Studios doesn't plan on releasing CoV until sometime in 2005. Early indications point to new archetypes/powers being introduced with the expansion but nothing is solid yet.

    PvP will be introduced but it will be purely consenual.

    Some things to look foward too but please do not qoute me on this.....

    PvP(This is defr from what i know)
    New Arch types(villian ones)
    Millions to billions of more costume ideas
    More mission types
    More Mobs
    More powers for each set
    More weapons

    And Much Much more......

    And remember this is just somehting to think about and not all of this is getting added...

    thanks Imfurious, yeah I wasnt too sure about the release thought it was going to be sooner than 2005, oh well still looking forward to it! at least I'll have WoW to keep me busy also ^.^

    I know but that doesn't mean CoV won't be better. Sure x-pacs are rarely better but I think this is one of them

    I think some people will be unhappy when CoV comes out. It would be a huge change to the game in a way similar to how T2A impacted UO. If there are Hero and Villain types, I would assume that they wouldn't be able to team with each other. That would make it a bit like DAoC.. in that game, the pool of people around your level to group with is divided by three. 2/3 of the people on your same server are there only for you to engage in PvP with, no communication or grouping or anything. This, and an increased world size, will spread the population more thinly. Also, after months of PvE only, suddenly there will be PvP. Everyone will suddenly be crying about how gimped their characters are in PvP. Then will come nerfs, most likely.

    Don't get me wrong, it sounds awesome and I'll definetely try it out.. but I think that it will ruin the game for some people.

    I dunno...from everythign I have heard about CoV.....it looks really good....

    I mean PvP...Good VS. Bad....

    I htink new powers and power sets...

    more comtume customization.....

    maybe more origins.....

    underground lairs....

    more missions types.......

    I mean I think i also heard that you will be able to craft...but idk.....

    I mean it looks like it will add alot of cool things to the game and all so ya know what I mean.....

    Sounds like the same old String you along tactics that SOE started in EQ to Spoon feed us.

    City of Villians  sounds very cool.

    Like i have felt since AO DAoC SB and so many other MMORPG's dont release the Game till you finish it.

    To little to late.. This game will be almost dead by the time COV comes out SOMETIME IN 2005 thats a long ways away and to many big titles comming out before then... ALot of people are all ready being put to sleep by this game as it is now, when WOW, FOM, DnL, DE, and EQ2 launch (to name a few games) this place is going to be a waste land sorta like SWG is now. ..... Makes me sick cause this game had so much potential but like most MMO's failed to reach even half of that....Sure its going to have its Fanboi's but most people will not continue to pay the Whopping 15 bucks a month for a MMO that has little to no depth.

    i have come to realize that these MMORPG's are developing a bad habbit of making people wait for stuff, instead of saying, here is a great game, enjoy, they are saying, here is a not so great game, just wait for this and this and itll be much better...i will no longer play a game because i cant wait for something to happen next month or next year, it is my new vow to only play a game because i am having fun, not because i might be having fun in a month, and CoH just doesnt have enough to do to justify paying every month untill city of villains...i respect cryptic studios for what they are trying to do, but when i am paying every month for an MMORPG, i prefer to play a LOT and not get bored after a few weeks
