Yes, I do. Why? I prefer the animated-look over the polygon intensive EQ2 crap, which would probably require me to recycle my NVID4200 (I even got issues playing painkiller!).

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.
what it comes down to is not all the crazy rendering technology and is not who can utilize directx 9 the greatest...
what it comes down to is the over all look. Which one looks nicer.
They both have their ups and downs. EQ2 Obviously outranks in the polygon counts and bump mapping (as well as other shaders) department. Where WoW just has incredible art work. Not as high polygon wise, but with the few polygons they use they make a well formed distinct shape, then wrap it all up in some top of the market 2d art. We are talking Blizzard here. Probably the most professional bunch of artists and programmers out there. total wizards.
either way, the obvious choice for most pleasing to the eye would have to be WoW. Very colourful and stimulating. Beautiful 2-d and 3-d art creating well imagined classic RTS characters and vast colour rich land scapes dotted with seamlessly integrated character models.
EQ2 all looks the same, bland, dull and shader-dependant landscapes with player models that have more polygons than they really need. All bump mapped to the extreme of course.
I don't like playing betas cause I like the suprise and suspense of getting the game fresh and my first experience with the game is the finished product (using the term lightly due to updates, patches and fixes). But Based purly on screen shots? I'd have to say, WoW has a lush and coloful enviorment that looks like it consumes the games and adds alot of depth to the landscape, and I like that. As for EQ2, it's nice to see an mmo taking advantage of what are essentially old features. And I don;t mean that in a bad way, it's more or less a correction to whom ever stated it was using the latest technology or something like that. Bump mapping and multi layer bump mapping have been out for more then 3 years making it by computer standards an old technology. It's unfortunate that it's only now that most mid range video cards support it as a standard feature. And it's nice to see EQ2 take advantage of that ability giving greater depth to the surfaces of objects. But in the end, I'll try em both based on how they look, and if they're good and have detailed systems I'll stay.
And until they get released I'll just have to keep hearing about how much they both suck from aposing fanboys
WoW's graphics aren't as "technically advanced" as the graphics of games like EQ2, but that doesn't mean much. The world of WoW itself looks great. EQ2 looks more like clay.

i mean wc3
but grafics are realy bad anyway i dont wasted my money on frozen throne ppl who love wow grafics are cartoon freaks
I think it looks amazing in every possible sense. You look at screenshots or gameplay movies and your just flooded with an ridiculous amount of detail in every single frame. I don't have anything against EQ2 graphics besides the fact that they just don't do it for me.
I read one guys post complaining about the quest system its based from... Lack of purpose was my main beef against EQ and the reason why I quit. Boo grinding!
some of you people obviously dont know that the graphics on WoW are completely different from those of the RTS warcraft. It takes a different engine for a different genre of game. I wish you wouldn't comment on something whilst ill informed.
check out some of the fan sites, there are plenty of screenies to get a good feel of the game.
(another thing is that the WoW is always moving, creatures hop around and make little foraging noises)

maybe game play is good im not in beta but sure u need differant engine for MMO but cartoon is cartoon
The 'cartoon' graphics though create a VERY wonderful atmosphere. The game looks and feels like no other mmrpg. When you play the game, you completely feel like you are in a fantasy, magical/enchanted world. Really you cant judge the game based on screenshots, it must be played to be properly judged.

I agree. Graphics mean very little... if you choose graphics over gameplay, that's crazy! 99% of the beta testers are already hooked on WoW and many say that it's the greatest MMORPG they've ever played and it's only in Beta! I really hope I have a chance at Beta or else I'll be stuck here waiting for months to play!

I haven't heard any many good opinions on its gameplay.
The graphics do look nice, and i'm sure it'll be a solid game. All the other stuff is pretty uninteresting though.

ah but when i saw the lineage 2 vid i knew it was going to lag, what with how it looked.
i know for a fact that WoW isnt going to lag (much if at all) because that's one of blizzard's top priorities.
can they say that about eq2?
Though i must say im not surprised they're going hyper-realistic with eq2 because of the sub-quake 1 graphics of eq1
i hope both WoW and EQ2 make my eyes bug out of my head. like this:
wow grafics are bad
i hated those grafics in wc2
EQ2 no pvp at all and i think the same camp fiesta like eq
