Any chance of a mature player server?

For players over 25, or whatever a reasonable cut off date might be...
I realise I am not exactly Mr Mature by the fact that I play these games in the first place - but here's the thing; I am 35, and would love to be on a server with people a little older.
The thought of Conan full of people shouting 'noob' kills me.

I'm that age as well, but I know there won't be. People lie too easily for any kind of age verification to work.
Plus, I've seen plenty of "older" jerks online. They usually have better typing skills, but the same attitudes

Usually, I say that age is just a number. That being said, I'd prefer to be in an environment where there would be better odds of it being mature. My hunch is that the RP-PvP servers will be a pretty solid community, although I am not a roleplayer at all.
Personally, I'm just hoping to be among a group of folks who are of "that" age, and have "that" playstyle if you know what I mean. Somewhere between casual and short of hardcore, where you arent guildy 337 of 486, and you just feel like a number. A place where a person in the casual to shy of hardcore can still find groups, have the guild city, and do some Border Kingdom PvP, even if it's not Battlekeeps, and it's Towers and Resource nodes. Well the game is rated as Mature i beleive. So what would be the point. Plus you would have to setup some sort of screening process because if not, anyone could play on the server regardless of age. And to setup a server with age verification would be to much. And even then people could just lie, unless the process detailed actually meeting the person in public. If you want a mature server, you might want to quit playing video games now. Because mature and video games dont relate. Most games are made to cater kids, and those alike. Yes you will find mature players here and there on a server, but remember your playing a video game. And to be honest, who really acts mature when playing a video game? Even i have little slip ups here and there. Nice dream though , heh.
As others have said, I think your best bet is a Roleplaying PVP server. Heck, I'm only 18, but I don't want to hear people shouting "noob!" either.
Couldent you pay like 30 Bucks more a month for a Seprate EQ1 server?

The rp-pvp server will hopefully satisfy your requirements. I am not a rp'er persay either, but find that the rp'ers are generally more friendly and mature as a community. The fact that it is an rp-ffa server is a nice bonus that suits me well, and those annoying kids that crop up probably wont last very long in an ffa server environment.

What are you stupid? This game's WHOLE hype is that it's rated 18+ ONLY. Theres a rumor on the AoC forums that if any child is found playing the game their account is immediately suspended pending investigation (ie: proof the owner and player are both above or are 18).
This game also cannot be sold to anyone under the age of 18 in ANY game store either. It is also well noted to EB games salesmen/woman to mention this game has nudity, heavy gore, and cursing all within the game to ALL customers regardless of age (in case the game is a present or a favor for their child/cousin/nephew, etc).
THERE IS NO NEED FOR A "MATURE" SERVER.
The developers said numerous times they will not modify their game to reduce the ESRB rating or to conform to the MMORPG market. It will remain riddled with nudity/cursing/heavy gore/ etc etc since thats why this game is so well hyped. It's the first game kids aren't allowed to play woot!

lol nice joke...quite humorous actually...do you really think making it 18+ is going to keep kids and immature people from playing it? Yes..that worked so well for GTA series. I am sure noone under 18 ever played it lol. Sorry....but the fact the there is those aspects of the game will draw kids in....

Nah, never said it won't be "kids free", however unlike GTA series the retailers are required to tell each and every customer upon sales of AoC boxs that the game is for adults only and is riddled with nudity, heavy gore, EXTREME violence, and curse words. Buddy of mine at EB already had three parents come in to pre-order Age of Conan for their kids only to have them go "Well, yea ok nevermind"Also, getting into a 18+ or 19+ only guild that has strict policies about age will improve your quality of gaming in AoC dramatically. My old Daoc guild found this to be true for our raiding/pvping.

I'm just curious what Fantasy world you live in. Mature Rated Games can still be bought for and buy kids under the age of 18. Should they be bought by kids under 18? Probably not but as long as the parent says its ok then its going to keep happening. There's no law that prohibits the sale of Mature rated games (atleast not in the states) there are how ever guidelines that it can't be sold to them without permission in several states and most stores ask for ID if you look under 16 years of age. Also if the game was completely anti kiddie it would be rated Adults Only which actually IS prohibted for sale to minors in the States.
There is NO law that stops them or forces them to search for kids in game that are under 18 as long as its a Mature Rated title KIDS can still play its just less likely you'll have a 10 year old in your group. Infact they're probably secretely hoping that the Mature Rating brings in TONS of teenagers since they all tend to flock to whatever they want.
AoC is going to have Kids under 18 its going to have lots of them. But atleast you wont' have some 12 year old crying over items he lost in PvP unless his parents are JUST that retarded as to buy the game for him. (If any of you search on YouTube you'll see plenty of xbox videos of little kids flipping out on team speak cause they lost and the game is of course Mature Rated)
