Wacky Gm banning reasons.

I know all of you out there have been banned from UO atleast once, maybe even perma-banned, so why dont we all share what we were banned for and a short explination? Sounds like fun to me 
Banning no. 1, I was walking around in Felucia when I confronted a person standing in the middle of nowhere, I thought he was idleing because he never spoke to me and for some reason never moved. So of course being the chaotic greifer I usualley am to idlers I killed him. Ended up being a person that knew a GM and before I knew he had told the GM that I had accused of raping him. Apparently GMs do not like you to dance ontop of a dead corpse while yelling "Banana!"
Banning no. 2, I went inactive just after being banned and never knew why or when I was banned.
Banning no. 3 (Perma), Tried to sell fake runes to green acres for 15k. Gm muted me until I started giving them out. Then banned me. Rune was to large ratmen spawn.

my original account with my lovely tower which is now gone thx to this i was banned for calling someone the "N" word twice, and i never did that to anyone in game i wasnt asked about it or anything just tried to login one day my account was blocked i sent an e-mail later i got an e-mail back saying i was perma-banned for using racial slurs after i was warned... bs huh?

Back in UO:R I had a nice scam going on Napa, I would hang around Brit Bank Tram yelling Selling Runes to Rare and Semirare Item Spawns!!! 50k!! The first time I ever did it, two people ran up to me and actually fought over who was going to get to buy it from me. It was hilarious. Of course it wasn't real, it was just a blank runebook that I bought off a player vendor for 300 gold, that I named. I spent the whole day doing that some days, I'd recall home and my neighbor sold the runebooks, so I'd pick some up, recall to Brit, make a sale, run off the screen as soon as they clicked the check, and recall to Serpent's Hold bank to cash my check!!
I must have made like 600k total from doing this scam for a week or so. I seriously think I started something though, because after I had been doing it for a couple of days a bunch of other people popped up doing the exact same thing, and people caught on that it was a scam and I didn't get any more suckers. Soon after that UO patched it so that runebooks could be opened from inside the trade window, and UOAM released a map file that had the real rare spawns marked.
I never got banned. I don't know why, I never got a message from a GM or sent to jail or suspended or anything. Maybe my victims weren't smart enough to look in the journal to see what my name was, or maybe the GMs just didn't care. I guess I was being a prick but those were still some very fun times.

i used to always sell blank spell books back in the day before the number of spells was shown when you looked at the book, most of the people who bought them were more pissed at themselves then they were at me lol, also i had a singing crstal ball that i was gunna sell so i opend the window showed the guy he put in the check for 5mil and i closed the window said oops, then put in a regular crstal ball, best 5mill that guy ever spent lol
If you scam you desrver a ba. THough the first 1 I agree was redicilous bannana ias not a rape unless you were saying something else about it like kiss my bannana (could be take as a referance)!
The second one might have been a clercicial error.
The third time you deserved a jail/ban.

i dont think they ban much anymore. i know some people can get away with crazy things these days. my friend was 8x8 the other day and left his cpu running all night and when he woke up and logged on his boat was in the middle of about a 30 boat pile up. haha only way out was to recall. so it is obvious they dont patrol the waterways.

im sure if you do anything mean to anyone in trammel they will ban you in a heart beat but other then that i dont think they care
Wow. I have never been banned and I think it's very mean to scam people. I would spend all my UO days trying to get gold. I would be so angry if someone was going to scam me out of my gold. Wow. The most gold I've ever made was 500,000 gold. I cannot believe you scammed someone out of 5mil! That's insane! How much is the most gold you have ever had at one instance?

i think gold is much more easy to come by these days. some artifacts can sell for over 20 million easily. i would say average price for an arti is 3 mil on ls. i personally have about 10 mil but i dont play much these days. gold sells on ebay for about 10$ per mil so not too expensive either if you just want to buy.

My highest bank balance ever was like 1.2 mil, I think.
In a sense gold is easier to come by, but it seems that the UO economy is suffering from inflation. There is so much gold out there, and it's so much easier to get gold from all the champ spawns/new monsters, that it is worth less. So now you will be paying more gold for the same things.

yes, you are right about that. it is not that we are more wealthy now it is just the inflation.

That and the fact they killed the loot drops.... you used to be able to get around 20k from dragons and 30-40k from elder gazers... now what do you get... 500-800.... o.O

I'm glad I don't play that game anymore.
I think they need to counter this inflation by raising prices on items from NPCS and introduce a tax on player housing. ... Someone put this idea in the suggestions cause i'm too lazy to double post

They banned one of my 37 accounts for roll playing a serial killer with mulitple personalities. At that point I realised EA/OSI was all about the money.
37 accounts? what in the hell is your problem there is no need for that many

8x8 is just a certain macro trick to gain skill.
I dont think 8x8 is banable but i will wait for a mods opinion! I only got banned for real reasons tho... macroing and trying to sneak into green acres by bothering the gms hehe. SOMEDAY I WILL SEE IT!
I was banned back in 2002, perhaps it was subconciously intentional as I was getting tired of playing a ruined game... Anyway a few of us got ahold of that MorphCheat program (if anyone can remember it) which was a 3rd party program that let you change the profile of a targetted player (ie. their bio, story, or whatever they wrote there).
We sat around trammel bank for an hour or so deleting trammys' pathetically long and poorly written background stories, replacing them with a short ironic statement or a little joke. I got banned like I should've been for using a 3rd party program, but 4 others who were using it at the same time as me got away without even a warning.
In hindsight I wish I didnt use the program, simply because I could've ebayed my account for a fair bit of cash.
The one good thing that came out of it was that during the banning process, my sandstone patio outside SL HQ (europa) got bugged. The door wouldn't open ("you cannot use this"), and there was no owner or coowners. It also didn't decay, as I discovered when I saw it there still standing 2 years later while watching a friend play. Still coated in unreachable rares, it remains my legacy

8x8 I believe is not bannable macroing it is. Basically 8x8 works with skills like this. Its better to fish at different areas and alternate for better skill gain chacne. Basically mining and fishing workon a 8x8 grid. if you fish on one side of the boat and then get a 0.01 skill gain. Then go to another side of a boat. Get a gain and then go to the other repear that process to get more skill gain. Think about it. What would OSI do then? Make us have to keep on fishing until you fished it up completly and then move on?

I was banking, just running past, and some guy was spamming how to gain skill, and i, being too lazy to tell him to go screw himself or mute him, told him to go get a boat and sail north. i got banned for 3 days for saying that. "get a boat and sail north" i was pissed. i quit shortly thereafter.
