I was just wondering what some of the board users were planning on rolling.
I had actually planned on rolling a Halberdier... but it seems that the class isn't in the game anymore. A pity really, I thought the idea of an evasive plate-wearer would have been most excellent! 
Now I suppose I'll consider rolling a Cimmerian Guardian, as they are apparently the Polearm + Heavy armor class in this game. I'll probably power-level to the cap as fas as I can with this class.
Second time through, I'll make either a Ranger or a Druid of Storm.
Waiting for something fresh to arrive on the MMO scene...

If theres anything non human then that, i havn't bothered looking at the game apart from videos on gametrailers though, just the humans look like plastic.
1st Necromancer rushed to max level.
2nd Healer probely Priest of Mitra.
3rd Assassin, Dark Templar or Herald of Xotti.
I think ill be a scion of set most likely or one of the other priest types
Cimmerian conqueror or lich.

Priest of Mitra and a Necromancer - probably going to fiddle with the druid class too, whatever it ends up being called.,,
My main will be an Aquilonian Dark Templar.
Then I plan to play a Necromancer and propably a Stormcaller or Scion of Set.
I'll probably start with a necromancer and then go for a druid or ranger
Not to sound cliche but I want to play as a Barbarian

Well my first character will probably be a Cimmerian Bear Shaman because I like the idea of smashing things and cone heals, or it will be a Cimmerian Barbarian.

Cimmerian Bear Shaman or Barbarian... leaning more towards barbarian at this point, though. Barbarian was my first choice, but from reading things it looked as if it lacked any sort of survivability. Then I read the description of the Bear Shamans, and they definitely seemed fun. Damage capabilities equal to a rogue while having medium armor, team buffs, and heals. Sounds better in every circumstance.
Then the pvp weekend rolls around... bear shaman had barely any damage output compared to barbarian. And I found he actually could heal himself some way or another, as barbarians have decent health regeneration, which I'm finding really cool. So yeah, one or the other. Probably will start with a barbarian and see what they do with evening out the classes, then go for the bear shaman... maybe even ranger too.

Priest of Mitra because I haven't ever really played a healer class.
PoM,I always like to play a healer and this 1 seems to be a nice challenge so that will do me.

Assassin (Aquillonian, i think it is)
I'm looking at Bear Shaman and Dark Templar currently. No clue about the races, but since they're all human the differences are just cosmetic anyway. Depending on how FC and the community rule on the hybrids vs. "pure class" issue, I might pick another soldier class.
And no, I'm not gonna rush to the max level, because
a) that's stupid and
b) knowing FunCom, the content won't be ready.
Aquilonian Conqueror or Barbarian...
But probably I'll choose conqueror for main.
Thief / Rogue ...not to sure on the race yet...will have to read more about the individual specifics yet.

Cimmerian Dark Templar, mostly due to the fact of a friend wanting to try a healer class for the first time..and well we usually Duo.. and from the looks of it, Dark Templars have minor self heals. So my friend would have to be as "on the ball" as with another class.
Initially before they "integrated" the lich, that was my plan. But the lich ability's are so far into the necromancers skill tree, hardly seems worth it just for the shock value of someone hitting on ya, then you turning into a lich to spite them.
During the pvp weekend I have tested 10 of the 12 classes and I moved from bear shaman to tempest of set as the class I want to play. After that I will most likely make one of the rogue classes alt.
I have always loved archers and healers... I am just not very good at melee classes. This might be a problem due to the PvP aspect of AoC, so we shall see.
I figure I will roll an Archer (Ranger) first to get a feel for the game and have a look around.
But my love is in healers (I am a nurse anesthetist, so it fits my style) So once I have an idea what I am doing in the game I will try the healer. So a Priestess of Mitra will be second.
Then, though it seems that it is a recipe for lots of PvP induced deaths, I want to try the Xotli. PvP tends to be a game of min/max and the Herald of Xotli seems to be a bad mix for surviving being ganked.
