Yahtzee has a point. The engine would be alot more conducive to an exploration/rpg type game to show off its terrain and such. Would be great if an mmorpg were made with it.
And before anybody says Entropia Universe is getting the cryengine, noone cares. Waste of technology on a waste of a "game".
Crysis was only good because of the graphics and the gameplay was boring and had nothing to it and there was no attension to detail or fun anywhere and the multiplayer sucked. I had fun with the game... though it coulda been sooo much more and nowhere near as good as the competition like Half-Life.
He's so funny, laughed through the whole review. However what he mentions about the engine being better for a exploration game is indeed true. Regarding having it as mmo I don't think that would work as the most people don't have comps good enough to handle 10000 people in one place+Crysis graphics.
I've never even seen more than 80 people in one place at a time in a mmorpg and normally mmorpgs have crap draw distances like WOW where people suddenly load up on you when they are in 5m of you.

Does Crysis have pontential? Was looking to upgrade my PC, but at the time their arnt many highend graphic games out their. Dont want to spend all my money on upgrades and have nothing to play.
Well if you can afford to its often a good idea to future proof your PC. And concerning Crysis well only use it as a form of test for your new Rig. Game wise tho id say its not worth doing it just to play Crysis.

"A top of the line gamine PC resembling a monolith, carved out of obsidian, and crafted by the dwarves of Middle Earth"
The sad part is that I've known people that own rigs like that....
I could afford it though, so who the hell cares? Its great to have one.
