No jumping!!

I can't believe they are going to release this game without the ability to jump! My spacebar doesn't like not being hit every now and again.
And am I the only one to try out potbs and think that the game should be free to play?

I feel sad for the game as It had such potential but It will just end up in the corner with matrix online gathering cobwebs

Actually, I got to level 38 (and then 50 when they started the end of beta event) in open beta and have been playing a ton lately as well and I think it's easily worth the monthly fee. As someone who has played every mainstream mmorpg to date (minus WWIIO), PotBS is one of about ten that actually warrant the monthly fee in my opinion.

You can always bind the jump emote to your spacebar and visualize yourself jumping over things.

You know you are the Captain on a ship.......spacebar fires your cannons.

-no orcs, elves and dwarfs

-no laser cannons and mechs, flying backpacks and head implants

This alone makes this game worth playing... !

If you hate not jumping, then yer gonna love this.....no swimming lol

 

its a game based around water....and you can't dive in. I've always thought this was a HUGE mistake, as allowing people to swim opens up even more gameplay opportunities. When the majority of your game world is covered in water, thats kind of like shooting yourself in the foot. Oh well. /shrug

I'm sure the enemy frigate will flee in terror when they see someone swimming towards them with a swivel gun.

I honestly was thinking of trying this game out, BUT after reading about two things you cant do in the game, JUMPING AND SWIMMING, I'm gonna stay far away from this one.

This game sounds more or less like a simulation rather than an actual MMORPG. Granted, I used to enjoy playing games like F15 Strike Eagle and LHX on my pc, yeeeeaaarrss ago, I cant see paying a monthly fee to play a Pirate Ship Simulation game. In MMO's, I enjoy the freedom of doing what I want, when I want, and how I want to do it. I mean, how in the H is there NO SWIMMING??? Thats like not being able to move in a fantasy based MMO. This game revolves around water, you control a ship, you fight other pirate ships, so umm what happens when your ship gets destroyed? Do u just appear automatically at the docks or something??? lol Some great creativity there DEVS!!
