Imagine Sid Myers Pirates! Except It's Not Fun And Costs 15$ Per Month

These are just my impressions I am being as honest as posible I do not wish to offend anyone who put a lot of time developing this game but I believe many core aspects must be changed to make it more FUN and appearling.

Ok I played this game for 5 days since pre-launch to now here is the flaw i see with the game

 

1. The "missions" are mostly all solo, it hard to find groups unless you are already connected with people before even making your character and so on. (as a matter of fact the population is very low, even though its pre-boarding i never even saw ONE player in a port city after i left the tutorial area.)

2. Whats the point of an MMO where you are forced to solo the same missions over and over, usually you blow up 3 ships or protect 3 ships from being blown up.

The most boring part is that the wind makes it so it can take like an hour to complete a mission just by turning your boat around forever or trying to catch up to someone

 

3. Avatar boarding combat is very lacking. I do not like the "skills" you can learn they should be more streamlined and also easier to understand. Capturing ships as a pirate shouldnt be 1 durability ships

 

4. Same as above when I enter towns i saw ZERO players, and only a few non NPC ships in the open sea

 

5. I had high hopes for this game as i love pirates in general but I think i will goto Disney's Pirates of the Carribbean and see if they have anything else to offer.

 

6. The music is actually pretty good.

 

I hope the best for this mmo and maybe after a few patches i will return, until then I will continue to monitor the progress as a non-paritcipant though until changes are made.

As I stated in so many prior posts.

This game is truly enjoyable as a guild / group game. If you just want to solo this game and power level your way to 50, your going to say Bleh! I rather play Sid Meiers Pirates instead and not pay the monthly fee.

and as Nova stated..

Heavy Guilding/Port Conquesting/RvR PvP setup and Economic Warfare, this is what this game is all about!

and as I stated..

If you want to play this game like you do World of Warcraft and the other gazillion fantasy mmorpgs, well, your in the wrong game. At this point, the end game at this point and the information we are given is PvP / RvR, not redoing Black Temple Keep / Kharazan runs for epic loot.

Now things can change in the course of time like mmo's are suppose to. But for now this is all we know, we all been hit with a level cap of 21 till the release of the game and to judge a game during pre-launch is crazy, I wouldnt put a nail in the coffin in this game yet.

We still got alot to see!
