    you may want to try eve, its sandbox, has a decent amount of crafting, pvp and an actualy market. only problem i can see is the fact its space based, no running around.

    Fallen Sword is a real simple browser game and for some reason I cant stop playing, may want to give that a try.

    There is no other game with the content of Runescape.  Sorry.  I could never stand the graphics in Runescape to continue to play but I loved the content.  Time for Runescape to move outside of the java world.
