Any news of an expansion?

Anyone heard of Mythic working on a new expansion for DAoC?  Just seems like no new news has come out about it in a while since Labyrinth.

I just hope the next one isn't one that increases land size to spread people out more, but adds more content to the places they already have.  They need to work on getting people back together so the new people trying out the game don't feel so lonely and end up quitting.

Well they would need to do 3 things to breath new life into this game.

• Remove that instanced task system they introduced with Catacombs which pretty much destroyed the community and turned the game into a solo grind to 50
• Revamp the world content and areas. Make it current, interesting and fun
• Consolidate servers already, I mean come on, WTH are they thinking? Spreading smaller populations over more and more server land mass...

Kinda makes me wonder how well WAR is going to go over the the first couple of years, Mythic seems to shoot themselves in the foot over and over as time goes by and they actually make things worse for themselves over time.

The game was in trouble when the devs thought it was a good idea to give a /20 command instead of actually addressing the problem years back which was...the grind was f*cking dull and tedious back in the day. Rather then fix it, they tried to bypass it. The same basic idea behind Catacombs, rather then fix up the world, they tried to bypass it. Which is just such weird, backwards thinking.
