Well I have to say it sucks, but no matter how much I am getting sick of WoW and the grind and being ready for a new and exciting innovative MMO such as AoC, I would rather wait 2 more months for AoC then to get the game and watch it bomb due to unpolished game play. I think I can stick out WoW for a little longer till AoC comes out in fact I am pre-ordering it Wednesday from GameStop so I can make sure I get my hands on it when it is released. That is how I feel about the push back. I can't wait for AoC I have been waiting forever.

I see this comment a lot, and I generally agree with it.  However, at some point (after 4 or 5 push backs maybe?) continual push backs begin to be viewed as a bad thing.  It's starting to look like they're just picking release dates out of the air.  They're far enough off to say that they're using the time to polish the game, but they're close enough to keep hype and anticipation high.  I have no faith at all that the game will actually be released on 5/20/08.  Maybe it will, maybe it won't.  It's a crap shoot at this point.  From here on out, I'm just taking the stance that it'll be released when it's released.  I'm not buying into any more hype, and I'm taking their release dates as seriously as they are (not at all).

Here! Here!  I'll drink to that my friend.  No more hype...tell the truth or just keep your dates to yourself!

As a beta-tester for AoC, I am very glad to see this announcement. This game is awesome, but it needs some polish for sure. Good job FunCom - you made the right choice!

I am a tester as well, its needs some more shine. It will be worth the extra wait.

Seems like AoC beta testers have decided to throw out the NDA.

I gave you zero details. So nda is intact.

I feel better about this, I kinda felt that it was a little rushed or early, ESPECIALLY with the change in the 14 professions.  Good choice!

Confirming you are in beta constitutes breaking the NDA. Or did you conveniently ignore that paragraph?

Finaly a company that learns from its mistakes, ie AO.

This is a good move, if anything is.

good move, bad move, i really don't care.  I just want to know why absolutely no one thinks doing something that you say you are going to do matters.  If you put a release date out there, then you realize that hey it might not be ready by that time, bust your balls and get it ready.  Some people say oh they are just making the game better, well maybe they are, but that does not change the fact that they lied.  Does that not matter to anyone?

    This is good news....,

It is nice to see that the producers are realising that their game may well flop badly if they release it when it is not finished.

Did it occur to you or anyone else pressing these arguments, that making a 3rd Gen MMO, is more complex and time consuming than the 3 page free theme essay you just turned in?

People want dates, and developers needs deadlines, in the creative arts its very difficult to put a deadline on anything. A deadline here, is more to keep you at bay and interested, than anything real.

    Lied? hahahahahaha.. ahahahahahahaha. Good luck.
