Hello all, hope all is well. My name is Adimar and I am a gamer. Not just any gamer, but a gamer who loves crafting. I have played all the "BIG" titles ( DDO, WoW, DAoC, LoTRO, EQII, TR, CoH, CoV, AL, FFXI, LineageII, MXo, SWG, Vanguard)) just to name a few. And I have played tons of F2P games as well ( AO, GW, AO, PW, KO, Tantra, Mythos etc...). What i am asking is are there any games out there ( fantasy preferably) that has a great emphasis on crafting? Not as the only thing to do but as a major part of the gameplay? Crafting of weapons, armors, trinkets, buildings, seige weapons, ships, etc...I am currently playing Mythis and Holic but the crafting in these games ins pretty much non-existent. I like games with high fantasy settings where crafting is useful and needed. If anyone knows of a game, P2P or F2P doesnt matter please post or send me a mail here. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure no game will have a big emphasis on gaming, where it's necessary to craft to be succesful. If you played WoW, what didn't you like about the crafting? If you become a good crafter, you can greatly help yourself and sell it on auction for big money, you can if you want base your character around crafting. DAoC was pretty good too, you can make siege weapons, and not everything you make is always perfect like WoW.
I didn't see Ryzom on your list. The game is in financial trouble at the time but the trial is unlimited until level 50 (I think). It has extremely complex crafting.

And I think the ULTIMATE crafting game is still around: A Time in the Desert. Not too pretty graphics, but it also have a free trial.

A Tale In the desert is pure crafting. There isnt even and combat. You basicly have a desert in witch you must build your home and everything in it from the ground up. There's no currenct because basicly your suppose to trade you stuff for other peoples stuff to get what you need to build. The population is kinda small though with only 1-2k people on at once and its a 15$ fee a mounth after a24 hour play time.
Horizons: Empire of Istaria. Supposedly only the best items in that game are crafted and it supposedly has one of the best crafting systems out there. Good community too. You can build houses, items, weapons, armor, etc. Check it out.
Pirates Of The Burning Sea just came out. I played the beta and found out that the best ships available were the ones that people made. Hope that helps you out on your crafting adventure.
Zalaber, the OP sounds as if he/she wants a "crafting-centric" game, and WoW does not meet the criterion in that respect. I'm assuming that the OP wants to play a crafter and avoid engaging in combat for the most part. SWG was always my favorite game in regards to crafting; however, the game isn't nearly as good as it used to be.
As others have already said, A Tale in the Desert, Saga of Ryzom, and Vanguard are probably the best choices out of what is currently available. (Yes, I'm aware that the OP has played most of these.) Also, one other suggestion I might make --as difficult as it is-- is Goonzu Online. The games mechanics are pretty interesting and the crafting is complex, but the games graphics suck horribly. It's a very cutsie/anime style MMO (which I loathe), so be forewarned. If the graphics aren't a problem, as I said, the mechanics are pretty good.
Still, since the OP has played practically every MMORPG in existence, with the exception of a few games, I honestly think that he/she is out of luck until another MMO is released.
EDIT:
Also, OP, have you played EVE? The economy is controlled by players; players craft practically everything you use. It's a great game that shouldn't be overlooked. It reminds me of SWG back in its better days.
