The immature players are always drawn to the dark, evil, sinister, and therefore "cool" evil side. And in their childish egotism they will assume they are the super-leet.
Exactly my thinking as well. The immature seem to think "Omgz, it's so leet to be evil".
You can vote several times (not sure if its capped at once every day).
And isnt the mmorpg community a bit deviant...? Meaning that most of us usually play either Destruction, horde... call it whatever you want... the bad guys

Most of the time, I pick the "good" side.
Most of the time players pick the side with the biggest boobs. remember those polls before wow release saying that horde would outnumber alliance? In the end tits > polls.
My addiction History: >> EQ1 2000-2004 - Shaman/Bard/Wizard/Monk - nolife raid-whore >> WoW 2004-2009 + Cataclysm for 2 months - hardcore casual >> Current status : done with MMO, too old for that crap.
When I played WoW, I played Horde. Now I plan to roll Order.
Why?
It has nothing to do with good vs evil, or pretty vs ugly. It ultimately comes down to classes and the individual's play style. I like how they set up the engineer, and that will, at this point, be my main. However, I will definitely try every race, and I'm trying to pick at least one class from each race that I can see myself playing.
Good thing there's a variety, and I look forward to testing my capacities on the battlefield.
Whichever side I do not pick will certainly become accustomed to feeling their blood flow by my hand.

Well spoken!
As for me, although it is way early to tell, I am looking seriously at a class that I would probably not normally wish to play -- Archmage.
Healer/support class, good defenses, healing, useful in PvE and RvR, has strong nukes and ... is a snappy dresser!!!
Playing as a Archmage
An Archmage is a powerful caster both offensively and defensively. However they must strive to keep a balance between the powers they manipulate. Weaving only powerful healing or destructive spells will leave the Archmage tired and unable to assist his allies in their darkest hour. However by carefully applying force in critical places the Archmage can reserve a wellspring of magical energy that allows him to aid his allies when a normal mage would be all but spent.
While I tend to sometimes ignore the wisdom of playing a magic caster, it should be noted that oftentimes it is the magic-users in the game who have the greatest utility ... and sometimes have the most fun.
Melee classes can be tough. Archers can be deadly. But it seems to be that the squishy, robe-wearing magic casters tend to deal out massive amounts of damage and debuffs.
And sometimes the panoramic view back away from the frontlines of the battlefield is a lot more comfortable!

And without stealth classes, it will be rather simple for casters to stay safe, too - or at least simpler. I think the lack of stealth really is the biggest deal for them, since in the past they never knew if they were alone at the back or not; now, if they can't see anyone around, there is no one around, which means there is no rogue about to drop them like a fly.
I am trying my best to resist commonsense and not be a caster, since I know they will likely be the most powerful careers if played correctly, but I still want to be a tank instead.

And yes i voted "destruction"..... twice....
I changed the voting to block repeaters by cookies and IP (was just cookies).
I doubt theres that much interest in the poll for most of these votes to be from repeat visitors.
This poll was posted at a couple other fansites and a myspace site as well. So factor in casuals with the mmorpg deviants.
It's a poll I made at poll daddy. I figured I'd try and make an actual post instead of tacking it onto a dying one like a did a couple days ago. The poll will exist all the way up until release day or maybe beyond. http://www.polldaddy.com/p/241500/ So please support the vote! Make me a happy monkey. I'm curious.
I was gunna go Destruction, but now I'll probably go Order since everyone and their dog is going to go Destruction.
Comments
I hoped Destruction would be the underdog class... Damn. Why doesn't Order have any decent classes compared to Disciple?
Most of the time, I pick the "good" side.
The poll isnt exactly good for anything:

I'm not here to complete my forum PVP dailies.

And I still want people to be tanks too. Lots of people.
I promise to back you up. The operative word being "back."
Don't worry, I got you targeted for heals.
So, get out there and kick some butt!

Playing on two different servers or two different accounts I take it?
The ratio is pretty close so far still 1 to 1 roughly.
