Thats only your opinion. What it comes down to is what your used to. If he has been playing with only a mouse for years then he will be much better and faster at it than you. Same goes for if you have used a keyboard for years. You will be much faster and better at it than he is. Personally I can use either. In AC I mainly used my mouse to select players and skills and used arrow keys to move. It worked well for me. Now I have become accustomed to useing wasd for movement since I got my laptop and now I prefer that, but I dont think I am any faster or better because of it.

I hope you're on my server, as destruction.. even my girlfriend will be able to kill you.

    No offense.

In most of the WAR videos I have seen so far, I have noted that the players are using the incredibly slow and cumbersome point-and-click method of playing.

If you only use the mouse to play, you are slowing yourself down by a large amount.

"Mad skillz" are no mystery.  It requires that you have dual-hand dexterity with both the mouse and keyboard and to rebind, as necessary, any functions that you use regularly so that the left hand works just as much as the right hand.

But ... I also hope most of my enemies use the slow point-and-click method.

    Okay little heads up here,

I've been playing Counterstike since Colts, had scopes.

And reaction time for me, is extremely FAST.

You can play with your WASD crap all day, I can tag you just as fast, and seriously, it's an MMORPG, twitch speeds isn't really all that impressive.  I can pwn just about anyone, (cept for damn warlocks and shadow priests) with my mage.  And I do most of it with a beer in one hand my mouse in the other.

So please, impress me further with your perhaps 0.15 second faster click time, lag, server load and other issues makes your "speed" moot point.

ITS ALL IN THE GAME. SOME GAMES REQUIRE YOU TO BE FAST, WHILE OTHERS DONT

I remember trying to play Guild Wars when it was launched. I really wanted to like it back then, but wich made me unable to was that I couldn't bind the f**** function keys to change the effect of other keys I pressed. A little thing like that can really be a gamebreaker. But I do have confidence in Mystic that they won't make any such mistake.

And OP I've got one question about when you play WoW and use mouse to activate skills: Can you use an instant cast spell and turn with your mouse at the same time, or do you have to turn with keyboard (wich is slower) or not turn at all while clicking that spell? If you can, at least I'd be really intrested in knowing how you do that.

EDIT: I had to rewrite that question a bit, since at first I completely forgot that one can actually turn with a keyboard if one wishes /EDIT

i completely agree with you MrVicchio,

i use mouse all day long on my MMOs and my speed does not suffer in the slightest, when my UI is set up i know exactly where each skill is in relation to my mouse pointer and can flick my wrist and its clicked straight away, no delays of any sort, though in a pvp setting i use WSAD to move though still click players and skills with my mouse, my gameplay don't suffer at all, in fact 1v1 i would say i take out 80% of gank attempts in wow (and being a warlock there are oh so many of them), so these other people boasting about keying skills being faster then mouse, you are talking out of your backsides.

i personally use the mouse 4 to run, right button to turn and left button to turn the camera and ive never had a problem at all
