Any good MMO's for a vet?

So yeah, SWG broke my heart. I can never love another MMO the same way. Darkfall or AoC may change that, but until then, anyone know of any good mmos a vet might wanna play?
I played WoW...but it gets boring.

There wont be another mmorpg like it ever tbh and WAR and AOC wont change a thing because they're both going for a different crowd......

Eve Online or Anarchy Online the only games that comes to mind that you can try as a Sci-fi alternative, both offer free trials. Both also have large SWG Vet populations.
In development, there are a couple I am watching, Twilight War, Earthrise, and Zuroth Online to name a few.
Good luck finding a comparable game to Pre-CU/NGE SWG, there really isn't anything like it available now.
There is an alternative, but it cannot be discussed here.
Way ahead of you on that alternative.
But yeah. I've tried EVE and AO. Kinda boring imo.

Vanguard isn't worth a second thought. Quoting the great Admiral Ackbar, "IT'S A TRAP!"
Darkfall has the most similar design to pre-cu SWG, but I'm really not sure if they'll ever make it to release at their current rate of development.
I think the alternative most speak of here must have something to do with Dromaius novaehollandiae. Strange birds, them, bring back memories of old times.
City of Heroes/Villains have a free trial as do both of the Everquests although EQ2 is a sizeable download.

It's run by SOE. That should be your first indication that *waves hand* it's not the game you're looking for.
Vanguard has improved massivly since SOE took over it (granted that wasnt hard to do but meh) but for me at least the best MMO on the market at this moment in time is EQ2,yes yes i know its an SOE game etc but this is a poster child for SWG could have been like.
Now no doubt thier will be claims about me being a fanboy but i say what i see at this moment in time EQ2 is the best MMO out there miles better than WOW and LoTR,as for sci fi stuff you're really stuck with EVE but thats not my cup of tea tbh
I've played EQ2 and I've done COH/COV trials...atleast 20 times. Why can't there be any good MMO's out there

If only there were some programmers/coders/etc around here. I'd round up a group and make my own MMO
I hear ya. Personally I would just like to hear something, anything, from Bioware concerning its new MMO. At the very least they should come out and confirm or deny that it's going to be an SW MMO. I also tried CoH for a while and, while it can be fun at times, it just gets boring in a hurry. WoW has been a decent game. A pre-cu SWG it's not but I doubt we'll ever have a game like that again anyway.
Right now I am kind of in limbo concerning games because I'm bored with WoW but not really wanting to play anything else. I had thought about buying a PS3 and playing Oblivion but then I realized buying a PS3 would mean indirectly supporting SOE so that kind of ruled that out. If you find a good game though (not made or run by SOE) please post again and let me know because I'd probably try it.
I still love SWG. It's only gotten better, to me at least.
If you want to try Vanguard, or really any other MMO, I have characters in most haha
But, I've been playing Vanguard a bunch. Are there tons of bugs? Of course..are there many other problems? Yes. But I am still enjoying it a lot. If you just take your time, and if your PC can run it, it's fun.
I have a ton of characters, but my main is Rikoo on the Xeth server. Look me up if you need help!
