Which one? The last one is an option rumour that started at AionSource.com where NCsoft would have a standard subscription, with the option to purchase (with real money) additional character customization (cosmetic) options.
Voted traditional because i'm not sure what you mean with the other option.
an example of micro transaction would be item X requires 1000 pts to buy it. While 1000pts cost 5$. The game would have no subscription fee but in order to acquire certain items (usually cosmetic) you have to pay extra. Which in some cases can greatly exceed the standard monthly fee.
Had to vote traditional. I do like the option of "seperating" yourself look wise from other people but I'd rather have stuff like that being unlockable of the sort by either gaining titles/weird objects, etc. I'd rather just pay $10-15 a month and have something to do gameplay wise to improve my character other than buying it.
I voted for the traditional method but realized that i would pay a little extra on micro transactions for cosmetic items. Just so long as it doesn't affect gameplay.

Well Item Mall is good If it's balanced, so normal players that can't donate so much aren't left behind so much! Like cabal for instance, they have best Item Mall of any mmo i seen so far! About mothly fee system...its good as fr the fee is resonable 10-14 $ per moth I belive is normal. Good thing about monthly fee system is that most of hackers and cheaters won't make pay account just to try to hack and get banned.I like monthly fee system, but when u reached quite most of the things and achivements in-game, the game gets boring soon and not worth paying for , and at that time u would like the game without monthly fee.
Being that ive played MMO's for about 10 years, i have to go with and prefer to stick with the traditional way.

I prefer a subscription model myself. But if there was the option to buy a cosmetic item thats just cosmetic i might by something if it looked nice.

The payment system will differ depending on the zone, so we will probably be getting a classical retailbox+monthly fee cause that works here, while in korea mycro-payments do fairly well.
Well my opinion is all for Traditional methods. I hate item malls, as well but as a couple of you have stated, the idea of it being purely cosmetic may be tolerable, although I would perfer it just be available as a part of the subscription instead.
If the game has cosmetic-only items from microtransitions on some realms, I won't play on those realms. Period. If the game has no realms that are earn what you have, I won't play the game. Period.
No microtransactions. None. I will not support them in any way, shape or form.

Currently playing a F2P micro-payment game and it makes me sick to see what they are implementing to suck the money out of people. It's actually worst than I can describe in words.....
I rather have a stable game, stable service and stable company who has stable income from the people. Rather than having to guess their income and guess the next trap for players.
lol you can play as a stalk of corn... I wish they'd just make the Mau a playable race >.>
Those aren't cosmetic items, they've already been confirmed as transformations used for quests, or transformations that give stat boosts. YOu either buy reagents from a vendor to turn into them, or they're quest only items; it varies depending on what transformation you're using.
I definitely want traditional, why would anyone want micropayments? If anything, just have two kinds of subscriptions:
1) $14.99/mo and you get everything standard in the game.
2) 17.99/mo and you get all standard stuff + some additional cosmetic items.
I'd much rather just pay a couple more dollars on my monthly bill then have to go and buy online currency everytime i want to purchase something.

Aww nuts. I was hoping to PvP as a stalk of corn and hear stories of people saying:
"Damnit, I got ganked by a piece of corn". "...eh?"

LOL that would be hilarious! I wish they would make the Mau and Shugo's playable, but I dunno how that would work with the whole arial combat thing! So far Traditional is what the majority wants, outta 50 people.
I am highly anticipating the release of this game. While I will probably play no matter how they eventually do the payment...I'm going with the majority here and will say I'd rather pay a monthly fee than have to mess around with an item mall of any kind.
I also have to agree with the hilarity that is the corn video. If I manage to get a hold of the item that changes my char I might try to hang onto them just for PvP fun.

Btw cute new avatar Valentina
Thank's Virgo. Haha I love it! It's one of the merchant races in Aion :P

Yeah, Traditional is basically that those options (of the last choice) would be available to subscribers (without having to pay extra)
Omg, I would throw a tantrum if Aion was Item-mall only(Thank god it isn't). Paying cash for items isn't any different from buying in-game currency.

" Payment method of Aion had been decided.
Based on monthly fee and on some realms NC will sell some items to players.
but these items just change your toons looking.
"
Sorry Valentina. I know this is just a simple poll but...
If Aion was Item-mall only, the in-game experience would be totally different then if was a monthly flat-fee one.
Item-mall is a greedy company's way of saying: "Why let all the gold farmers make all the money when we could do it legally?"
Some people spend up to $600 a month just in item-malls. I think that's unfair to the people that isn't crazy enough to spend that much.

Fell the pain
I absolutely hate microtransactions so I am hoping for a traditional monthly subscription.

I have a feeling these will be the so-called cash only cosmetic items:
Mau costume video
Corn stalk costume video
Dragon costume video
lol you can play as a stalk of corn...

Well I'm pretty sure it'll end up being Traditional, I hope anyway. Does NCsoft even have any Micro-Transaction games?
Off Topic for a sec: That Hybrid Alien race thing on Tabula Rasa seems really cool.
