Say no to new spending.

Anyone promising new spending, especially Universal Health-Care, is a snake.   Meet David Walker, General Comptroller of the GAO.  He is this nation's top accountant.  Watch all of both before commenting, or I'll jump over your case.

I disagree. It's just that anyone promising universal healthcare without demanding other spending reform is a snake. If we did things like limiting social security only to those who truly needed it, rationed healthcare in a sound fashion, and quit pumping billions into foreign adventures and bridges to nowhere we could probably afford reasonably priced national health insurance.

Right now we spend roughly twice per capita on healthcare vs. many other countries that do offer national health insurance. And they still manage to offer better quality healthcare than we do. If you want to talk about snakes, then you should also mention the money sucking vampires who are sticking it to us right now hiding behind the banner of 'No Socialized Medicine'.

There are villains on both sides of this argument.

Yes, how tax dollars are spent needs to be changed ALOT.  But also need to reduce taxes by alot and let people keep their money.  People are taxed for EVERYTHING.  Alot of hidden taxes out their, they may be small but they all add up to being taxed alot.
