Loot from other Zones

My friend plans on playing a High Elf and I plan on playing a Dwarf....is it possible to go to another races zone and quest? If my Dwarf does quests in the High Elf zone will I get Dwarf specific loot? When I am in a High Elf dungeon will Dwarf loot drop? I am sorry I am just really confused on the way they are doing this.

It will be possible -- and perhaps even encouraged -- for you to go to other friendly realms and quest and do RvR.

Quest rewards will be tailored to your race and class.  As for loot drops ... I am not totally sure.

Perhaps someone else here has info about this.

Oh ok that is good to hear, I was worried I would have to stay in my own zone to get rewards and stuff.

didnt they say they were sorting out the loot so that if a class wasnt in the group, then their loot wont drop, because there was a lot of problem in beta with useless gear dropping and people getting annoyed?, im sure i read that somewhere. i will look and see if i can find the source again

Yes there will be loot drops also appropriate to your career.

I don't know if anyone can answer this but can we go into the enemies pve dungeons?

I'm interested to see how they handle the loot drops.  We know that there will be class specific loot drops but does that mean elven swords will be falling off orcs?

I wonder if this will be connected with the Crafting at all.   I thought i remember seeing an item that looked like it was a non-class specific magic staff.  Perhaps we hand such items into Crafters (or craft them ourselves) to be class-specific items?

No idea if this is the case or not, but it would help with the idea of racially specific items dropping from various opposing races.

I'm guessing no for the most part. Currently the PvE dungeons they've shown have you fighting the opposite faction. If you went to an enemy's dungeon that would technically mean you are fighting your own side.

I don't think this has ever been touched on but I'd gather if its a dungeon thats has requirements to enter and the requirements are based from a quest you can only get from an enemy npc then I'd say no you can't enter.    You can go to their PvE areas but it supposedly flags you for PvP or something to that effect.

I guess if you had a quest from your own NPCs that took you to a primarily a PvE area for the enemy you would get to go into the dungeon.  Its really not as open ended to what dungeons you go in if they're quest related dungeons due to territorial issues.

Lairs of course don't count as dungeons since anyone can trigger them atleast as far as what tid bits they've given us on them.

Dungeons in WAR aren't like say..WoW or even Everquest 1 & 2 Dungeons where anyone has access or can get access (atleast thats what I gather from what they have told us).  If your in the enemy's territory most likely your gonna get beat on :)

As an aside we’ve also been playing around with some itemization systems to make random drops “feel” better to the player. These systems will make it much more likely that a player will be able to use an item that drops.

The above is from a public release note on the GOA (European) site that sounds like they have addressed (or are addressing) this.

There are alot of other goodies about the game in the various other public release notes.
